Narrowboat - Sleeps 10 - Raki Raki - 69ft
Raki Raki is set along the beautiful Macclesfield Canal and has a home mooring at Higher Poynton. This stretch of the canal has a green flag award and borders Lyme Park which is looked after by the National Trust. The village of Poynton is a mile away and locally there is a shop and the Boars Head pub. The boat is 69ft long with 3 cabins offering 3 double beds and 4 bunk beds, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and saloon. A fabulous place from which to explore Derbyshire & the Peak district.
The boat comes equipped with all mod-cons, from the rear entrance you enter the saloon with ample seating for 10 people to relax and unwind and eat dinner at the dining table. Here there is a speaker system to play music from your phone or mp3 player and also a TV offering free-view, DVD and can also play music and movies from a USB stick. The saloon also converts to a good sized double bed.
In the kitchen is a gas hob, grill and oven, fully equipped kitchen includes all the pots, pans and crockery that you will need during your stay as well as a full sized fridge.
The 2 bathrooms are both equipped with toilet, basin, mirror and shower with one located at the front of the boat and another to the rear.
Next there is a cabin with 4 bunk beds and storage wardrobes, this can be separated from the forward cabins via a fold out door. Each bunk has its own reading light.
The middle & forward cabin both feature a double bed with wardrobe, under bed storage and 2 reading lights. The middle cabin has an additional side hatch which opens to the outside.
At the front and rear of the boat are 2 large decks to enjoy sunny mornings and evenings.
The boat benefits from solar power as well as having a large battery bank so should be able to handle your needs well, however high powered appliances above 800 watts will not work so Hair Dryers are likely to not be usable aboard.
The hot water aboard is supplied by the diesel central heating system or warmed by running the engine and gets very hot.
The whole boat is yours to enjoy.
Upon arrival we will meet you and provide you with a parking permit for the nearby car park. We will give you a full handover for the boat including how all systems work aboard so that you are fully comfortable and confident during your stay.
Check in is from 2pm as there are a number of items to review with guests during the handover. It is really appreciated if you are able to arrive on time for this. Check out is from 9am.
