Decent stay. Lovely room. Very clean room and comfortable bed but bathroom felt tired with mould on rubber shower screen seal. We enjoyed the breakfast. We were not impressed by the email we received prior to our stay. It talked about the £50 holding deposit (a fairly standard practice) and a request to keep noise to a minimum. The content of the email was fine, although we were surprised we needed a behaviour reminder to be honest. But the tone was really off. It felt aggressive and too much and had we not been attending an event for which we needed a hotel room, we’d have cancelled based on this email alone!

The staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel is lovely with beautiful grounds and great amenities. They have a jacuzzi, pool and sauna, which we took full advantage of. The superior twin room was spacious clean and tidy. The breakfast options were good. I was particularly impressed by the availability of freshly baked bread.

In their welcome email the hotel were very keen to tell us about extra costs, rather than express how they were looking forward to our stay. This approach continued at check in with a 2-hour late checkout generating a charge - which we declined. Highlights were the swimming pool and the reasonably-well appointed room.

Great Hotel, only a stones throw from the town centre. Superb service from all the staff. Spacious comfortable bedroom and en suite. Nothing is too much trouble. Good food & comfortable bar area.

Staff were so attentive and polite, hotel and rooms are high quality. The only things that let it down was the bed was really lumpy and the room was either too hot or too cold. Didn’t sleep well either night. We did use the pool but we weren’t able to enjoy swimming as there was a private swimming lesson going on too.

Hotel is not worth £120 a night it’s out of town and overall dated. The shower had warning sign about scalding water and to be careful. However the only options were freezing or scalding. The lights in the room were very dim and it made getting ready difficult. The staff however were very welcoming.
