Excellent as ever. Dog friendly, lovely staff and great food. Great location too.

It was a birthday treat and i couldnt have been more happier. It was near everything necessary and i didnt find it too noisy. Everyone was welcoming and professional. It was clean. Bed was so comfortable. Best night sleep either of us has had in a long time. The bathroom was spacious and the claw footed bath really added to it. Was so enjoyable to bathe at the end of a long busy day.

Ian and Caz were great hosts very welcoming for our stay. The log cabin was very nice and the hotub was also lovely. Overall we had a brilliant time and would recommend.

This is a wonderful hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room is in need of redecorating after what looks like an old damp issue from a water leak outside the bathroom but didn’t cause us any issues. The hotel is in a very good location and we would recommend it to anyone.

This is a really beautifully kept and charming pub hotel. We had a room on the 2nd floor (i believe) with a view of the street. As a 17th century building it does have slightly steep stairs and some quaint low doorframes. We stayed for one night but I'd be happy to stay there for more than that if I'm in the area again. The pictures of the room were accurate. It was warm in winter even though heating was off. It was well kept and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the ensuite bathroom brand new and very clean (the gents in the pub downstairs a slightly different story! But the pub itself was very nice). - Doors at the rear are left open should you want to come back in late at night. - Breakfast was a generous full English. - The room also had a kettle with some complementary tea and coffee sachets, and there was also a decent hair drier. - Parking might be a touch limited if you arrive at the wrong time as it seems to be shared with pub customers but you might he able to find somewhere nearby in a pinch.

The hotel was a bit dated but the rooms had plenty of space and nice and clean.
