Welcome to Our Victoria Terrace Cottage! Our Holiday home is a good mix of old and new and is centrally located in town so no car is necessary. We are a 3-minute walk to Shakespeare's Birthplace and The RSC Theatre is about 7 minutes on foot. There is an abundance of Restaurants and coffee shops within a 2-3 minute walk as are all the shops.
For those wishing to visit the Cotswolds, the journey is about a 10-15 minute drive to the start of the Cotswold villages.
Our home has lots of decorated touches to make it feel like a home away from home to make your stay a special one.
We are dedicated to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests, ensuring the property is thoroughly cleaned between stays. Fresh towels are provided on each bed, and we kindly ask that you remove your shoes in carpeted areas to help us keep everything in top condition.
Arrival and Access
We aim to meet our guests upon arrival, but if that’s not possible, you can access the house using the key in the lockbox located to the right of the front door. The property will always be fully ventilated between stays to ensure a fresh welcome.
Cleaning Products & Guidelines
We provide a good supply of cleaning products for your use, but please avoid putting antibacterial wipes down the toilet as this may cause a blockage due to the old, narrow pipes. We ask that all dishes be placed in the dishwasher and run before you leave. Please ensure no unwashed items are returned to the cupboards. Additionally, please empty the bins, remove any food from the fridge, and place them in the outside bin for collection.
We Appreciate Your Review
If you’ve enjoyed your stay, please consider leaving us a review online and sharing our details with friends. We have business cards available for you to take.
Dining & Local Recommendations
There’s a laminated list of recommended local restaurants on the dining table, many of which offer delivery or collection services, so you can enjoy great meals without cooking! Our house is just a short walk to cafes, restaurants, shops, and historical attractions, including the Theatre and Shakespearean landmarks.
Accommodation Details
Our cottage blends original features with modern comforts. The two bedrooms each have new orthopedic memory foam mattresses: one king-size upholstered bed and one room with two single beds. The bedding is white with high-content cotton bedding and both rooms have either blackout curtains or shutters so you are not woken by daylight. The Master bedroom has a dressing table with a vanity mirror and in the top drawer, you will find a hair dryer. The guest bedroom has a chest of drawers and a double wardrobe with a mirror and WiFi is available throughout the house.
The bathroom is a luxury hotel-style space with a freestanding bath with a waterfall tap, a separate shower, and a large wall-sized mirror with a shelf for your toiletries.
The spacious lounge has a three-seater sofa, two armchairs, and coffee table with a central fireplace, leading to a dining room with a circular oak dining table with four chairs leading to a modern kitchen, and a utility room. The staircase leads off the dining room and has hand rails all the way up the staircase. A pretty & private Courtyard garden with a BBQ is perfect for alfresco dining in the summer.
