We were pleasantly surprised by our one-night stay here, passing through on our way home to Canada. The hotel is not as new as it appears from the outside, though it does appear to have undergone refurbishment in some areas. It was clean and comfortable, the bed linens were very nice though the pillows are the small postage stamp size (best bring your own) ones. We were welcomed by Kayla, who was very cheerful and friendly. She recommended some restaurants (Maloney's won), and later in the evening while playing a board game in the lobby we had a good conversation with her (while she folded bedding) about the secret to folding fitted sheets, and she offered to change the channel on the tv if we did not want to listen to game shows. Kayla was attentive, down to earth, and we appreciated it. Breakfast the next morning was a little different than many chain hotel offerings - fried eggs appeared, nicely cooked sausages and yummy potatoes! The kitchen area was clean, and well stocked, I loved the brown sugar packets for my oatmeal. Coffee was kept full and fresh, and the "breakfast lady" hovered around making sure all was well.
Thank you La Quinta staff! Ya did good!
