Great staff. No free minibar as stated No pullout king bed as stated No separate sitting area as stated (Unless they meant the 2 chairs outside) Room was half the size advertised. Staff extremely friendly, place very clean.

A secret gem
It was a small 12 room family run hotel. It was in a lovely setting and so quiet. The two ladies that ran it where so helpful. The room was spotless breakfast was great I had Thai breakfast but was offered American style. And good value 👍

Excelent value with garden setting
Spent 2 nights here and can recommend it, good value excellent room with garden views, not central but walkable with local restaurants in the near vicinity. Would definitely stay here again

Well kept, cozy and comfy.
Centrally located, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean the White Elephant is a very comfortable stay. The staff is sweet and everything works, probably because of the Danish owner. We had made reservations on Hotels.com but when we got there the front desk told us they were sold out and they tried to put us at a lesser hotel around the corner. Ultimately they found us a room at the White Elephant but it was an inconvenient dance. Aside from that I have to say the hotel is very nice and shows a lot of decorative touches that give it a lot of character. Very good value.

Lovely hotel, very accommodating staff, excellent breakfast. Good value for money. Stayed here to attend Thailand moto gp, only about 45mins from track. Found plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

A great find.
What a great find this was. We tried to book into a previous hotel that we had stayed in but it was full and then we found The White Elephant Resort, this is now my first choice when staying in Surin, which we do twice a year. Amazing rooms, so nicely decorated, very good A/C, hot water and good Wifi. The garden is just beautiful and a very nice Thai BBQ chicken restaurant on the main road, left at the lights.....see you again.

Little slice of paradise
We loved our stay here, rooms are so beautiful and the gardens are just blissful. Wifi was great and water pressure not bad at all. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in Thailand and the staff are so sweet and helpful. This would be my number one pick for accomodation in Surin. A 5 minute tuk tuk ride to the city centre, about a 20 minute walk. If you’re looking for comfort, you’ve found it.

Heaven in Paradise
Incredable stay at White Elephant Resort. Can't speak highly enough about this Great little Jem in the middle of Surin. Minutes from everything and yet still secluded in a quiet spot. This is the best place we've stayed at since I've been in Thailand. There is bigger and more expensive but all without the charm and personal service. The staff goes above and beyond and we felt more like family than guest's. Every time we stay in Surin we will be staying at our second "Home." Stayed there for one night. A lovely place. However, during check-out, the staff insisted that a booking and payment via hotels.com was not valid. As I was in a hurry to catch a bus, I paid the (double) commission. I don't know whether this was a scam or just plain incompetency. (I am inclined to believe the latter.) Either way, I cannot recommend the resort.

Super hotel and location at a great price.
The bed was the most comfortable with great mattress and sheets. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the Thai breakfasts. The room is as nice or nicer than the places we've stayed at in Surin at a great price. Plus, the location is quiet though close to the parts of Surin we needed to be in (Surin Hospital area.) The internet was better than the other hotels as well. The grounds were a pleasant retreat of a garden, though there isn't a pool. Loved it.
