We stayed in this location for one night on our way back through from our vacation in Michigan. The property was a single wide and wasn’t exactly a cabin but did have some lake access. The home was clean when we arrived. The water smelled heavily of sulfur, in the welcome letter it mentioned there may be a little bit of a smell but it was potent to the point that we didn’t even use the shower—the water is definitely not some that I would drink, which the hosts did warn us in the welcome letter. May have been nice to be aware of that before booking. Due to the rain we were indoors bound, the cell reception is non existent no matter the cell carrier (we used Verizon and Tmobile), the only way we could get a phone call out was to stand in the middle of the road. Our phones were either in SOS or No Service the entire time in the house which with little ones in a strange area it is a bit unnerving. The property is listed as having Free WiFi, it only has a Verizon MiFi device which did not work for our stay and with the area cell service I would be surprised if it is reliable enough to list WiFi as an amenity on the listing. Thankfully I didn’t have an important work call I needed to jump on (which is why I normally choose a property with WiFi). For the cost of the stay ~$232 we could have stayed in a hotel for less. All things considered I do believe the couple that owns it are nice, I just think the listing needs to be a bit more accurate.
