Skai Cottage is only few minutes drive away from the busy Leura Mall. When you arrive, do not rush to check in. Emerge yourself in this beautiful surroundings covered by maple trees and red leafs. If it’s summer time, close your eyes for a moment to enjoy some birds chirping.

Entering the front garden, you should immediately feel the calming energy from the oriental garden.

Once you open the front door, you will be welcomed by a small sun room where you could sit comfortably to remove your shoes. What you will see next is the open space of the generous kitchen and dining area.

Keep walking ahead, you will see the key feature of our house - the original sand-stone fireplace occupying almost a whole wall. One can see through the beautiful back garden from the side windows next to the fireplace. Comfy furniture are centred around this featured fireplace to create intimate socialising space. The bay window area is a prestigious corner for book lovers. In a not very obvious corner of the lounge room, there is an office desk, in case one of your travel companions wishes to work on emails or other work-related stuffs.

We have two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed for a couple. The other bedroom has 2 single beds. Our bathroom is recently renovated and modernized.

In the laundry room, you can use our washing machine and dryer. This is handy during rainy days.

The whole house is open for your to enjoy.

In terms of the heating system, we have two gas heaters at the Living room area and an indoor fireplace and oil heater for each individual room

Please notes we will provide a certain amount of firewood for your stay during the winter season from June to August. If you run out of wood, you can get more from the nearest petrol station.
Make yourself comfortable in this cottage, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a microwave. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include a desk and an electric kettle.

Nice and cosy hluse
Clean, easy check in and nice little cottage with a beautiful fire place and a lovely garden . It would have been nice to have wood fire ready even if it was not the high season for using the chimney ! It can be chilly in the blue mountains in spring and the fire place is the highlight of this house!!

Peaceful stay in Leura
Location of the property is close to Leura shopping mall. The weather was unfortunately cold and wet when we were there, so we put on the fire and played some board games. The house was very cosy and was clean. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was definately an added bonus !

An older style cottage but fully stocked with everything you need. Comfy warm beds. FYI open fireplaces don’t really heat up a living area this big in winter but gas heaters there were adequate. BYO firewood and kindling. It’s a massive fireplace - great aesthetic

Some issues with the house
The house is lovely. Unfortunately we had some issues. When we arrived, the cleaning wasn’t done. The owners were very apologetic and asked us to come back at 6pm. Also, the plumbing had issues. The toilets were not flushing properly which was unpleasant. The house was otherwise lovely. The fireplace was beautiful and we enjoyed the Bluetooth sound system. The extra heaters worked well too.

Lovely Leura house
We had a great time staying in this house. The fireplace is huge and a striking centrepiece of the lounge room. There are two great gas heaters to warm the living areas while the fire gets going. It’s on a pretty street and there is a lovely, short, bushwalk at the end of the street called the Pool of Siloam. A few minutes drive to the Main Street of Leura and a few minutes more to Katoomba. The kitchen was really well-provisioned, with coffee pods, teabags, oil, spices etc. The hosts had left us a bottle of wine andb a couple of craft beers. Would definitely stay again!
