The hotel is beautiful and so are the staff. The only downfall, which proved to be incredibly annoying were the lifts. There’s approx 6 lifts in the hotel (as advertised) but only 2 seem to work. You wait quite a while for the lift to get to you. And, of course, many don’t know lift etiquette (you let the people who’ve waited the longest get into the lift first). I averaged (over the weekend) to wait at least 9-10 minutes for each lift service. The views from high floor are nice however, you get the same view, same room quality and quicker lift wait times at the Sofitel.

I have been fortunate to stay in hotels all over the world and as a comparison, staff at W hotel Sydney were exceptional. I can honestly say every staff member we encountered were so well trained and welcoming. Right from checkin when I was offered a drinks voucher and late check out as it was my birthday. A great experience, highly recommended

It was a great night. It was convenient where we had dinner inside the hotel and the staff were super friendly at BTWN. The next morning, even the breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff were great. The only downside to our stay was that our friends also checked in and it was both our wedding anniversaries. Received an upgrade and late check when they arrived however we didn’t unfortunately.

Locations. Hotel bars and dining. Breakfast buffet are fantastic. Oasis two bedder suite are nice and spacious. Booked with two King bed rooms but got allocate the type with a double bed in the second bedroom only somehow.

Were on the 15th floor and found the road and music noise from Darling Harbour quite loud. Bit strange for a brand new hotel not to have its rooms sound proofed. Staff were amazing and friendly

Please listen to the reviews that highlight the issues with service. From the moment you check in you can immediately tell this place is disorganised and run poorly. The reception area is way too small when everyone is trying to check in in the afternoon and the queue system makes no sense as the staff themselves can't decide who is next in line to be served. The 'fancy' tech for the lighting was our biggest issue, along with broken AC. The touch buttons to control lighting within the bathroom were broken and we were unable to switch this on to use the bathroom or shower. Staff were notified of the issue but communication among staff members is so poor, nothing was done until we physically went to reception. Luckily the manager on duty did move us to another room however, as we were a party of 3 this room needed a roll away bed added to accomodate all of us. We were told in the morning it would take only 15 mins to have the extra bed put in the room. The extra bed wasn't brought to our room until 9pm after i followed up again when we had returned to the room in the evening. Overall, for a 5 star hotel the service is incredibly poor and I would not return.
