I booked this MOTEL thinking it was a business type hotel because that is the name on Hotels.com. The "hotel" is a Motel, as shown on their business signs all over the property, not a Hotel. It has a weird drive-in with no lobby, because it was converted from a warehouse to a Motel. It is in no way a business hotel or family hotel, but it cost the same range as a true business hotel. We felt we drastically overpaid. There is nothing at all near the hotel either, even 7-11 is 5+ minutes walk which is odd for Taiwan. On the plus side the room was the same as shown in the photos online (2 beds) and was comfortable, modern, and clean inside except a few tiny ants by the fridge but it was raining like crazy and hard to keep all the ants out in that instance. The breakfast buffet was an actual buffet, but terrible and not becoming of a hotel. The primary reason was that 100% of the food was COLD, despite being in typical warming trays that buffets use. They didn't light the burners! Any of them. We guess they were too cheap to buy the fuel? We told the staff this, and they laughed (truely laughed it off) like it was no big deal. So the food may have been OK as they had several choices, but we pretty much had toast. Also the porridge stuff was uncovered (the rest had covers) so bugs could get into it and people could cough on it (COVID!) so my wife didn't want to eat it even though it was hot porridge, the only hot item.
