Nanakita Park and Sendai-Izumi Premium Outlets are not far from the centre of Tomiya-machi, 7 kilometres to the southeast. Looking for more? Shikama-cho, 12 kilometres to the north of Taiwa, is known for Matsumoto Family Residence and Sanbongi Yamanami Road Station.
Take a day trip and see some sights in Rifu. This destination is 18 kilometres to the southeast and not far from the Tohoku History Museum, Taga Castle Ruins and the Urakasumi Sake Brewery. Of course, don't miss Former Kamei House and Okama Shrine either.
