Life in the big city driving you bonkers? Pretty sure a change of scenery and a bit of greenery would sort you out? Then whisk yourself away to Taleggio and chillax among the stunning rural landscapes, rivers and lakes of Lombardy.

From Taleggio, head 140 kilometres to the north to find Vaduz, a prominent city. You can also go 180 kilometres north to explore another excellent city, Bregenz.

When it comes to things to do, Ubiale Clanezzo has some great ones. Sitting 13 kilometres away, here you'll find Palazzo della Ragione, Piazza Vecchia and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore.

Need some beach therapy? Feel the salty wind whip through your hair as you close your eyes and tune into the peaceful sounds of the ocean at Piona Beach. It's the best kind of medicine there is!

It's no secret that getting outside makes you feel happier and healthier. With that in mind, why wouldn't you head 40 kilometres out of Taleggio to the Como-Brunate Funicular? Monte San Salvatore, just 50 kilometres away, is one more recommended choice.

Kit yourself out in blue and black and see the Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio at their home turf of Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia. Located 20 kilometres away in Bergamo, it's also the place to cheer along the Unione Calcio AlbinoLeffe.

Leave a cloud of white powder behind you as you streak down the slopes at Arosa Ski Resort. Powder fiends will also want to head to Lenzerheide Ski Resort.

Looking for lots more things to see and do? Head to Fuipiano Valle Imagna, 5 kilometres southwest of Taleggio, for Parco Avventura Bergamo and Monte Resegone. Alternatively, Moggio is 5 kilometres to the northwest, and it's here you'll find the Funivia Moggio-Artavaggio and the Funivia Piani d'Erna.

Do a little shopping and see some sights in Valtorta. This place is 10 kilometres to the north and close to the Cabinovia Barzio-Bobbio, Castello di Vezio and Parco della Grigna Settentrionale. Of course, don't forget about Orrido and Villa Cipressi either.

When you're set to fly back home, allow yourself extra time to get to Orio Al Serio Airport (BGY). Situated 25 kilometres to the southeast from the middle of Taleggio, this is the nearest terminal.
