Beware surprise Parking Fee $40
What a shame! As i booked nothing mentioned an extra $40 parking fee or i would have stayed at airport for the difference. Upon telling Kara (receptionist "no longer works there conveniently " she ended up telling me she would not charge the parking fee for my troubles and not being told this) she convinced me to stay and not go somewhere else. Of course i find out that they still charged me and upon calling Manager Lisa M (asssuming she gave me her real name) did not show concern or helped me with this at all. She said she will not remove the fee, and that Kara didnt work there anymore. Thats convinient. So now i have to dispute with my bank. Wont be staying here again. I wasnt even put in the room i booked!!!!!! And i didnt complain even though i payed extra for the corner big windows.

Beautiful but not friendly
The hotel was beautiful and so was the room, the staff however was not very accommodating. When I checked in, they checked my ID and took my credit card but said the room wasn't ready, so wait for a text when to come back. We went to the bar in the hotel and the bartender stood and talked to another customer for at least seven minutes before coming over to see if we wanted a drink. He then proceeded to taste my drink and then he filled my friend drink to full, so he dumped some off the top which was the floater that she paid for. We then went back to the front desk because our room was ready, and he asked for my ID and credit card again. I told him I already did that, and he said it was for over charges, when I said that was impossible, he said he was look at a different person's bill. He then gave us the key. He didn't give us any information whatsoever, so we had to ask how to find our room and about the free breakfast service.

My only complaint is the $40 parking. We were there less than 24 hours. $10 or $15 wouldve been sufficient and understandable. And we tipped the valets $5 for parking and $5 for retrieving our vehicle. Our Tampa visit was for tests and pre-op appointments for my fiance's upcoming Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. The room was very clean and comfortable. Thank you.

There were no problems with the property itself. I was adequate and nice for a downtown hotel. I do have two criticisms. First, there is no available parking, so you are forced to purchase parking or walk several blocks with your luggage. Second, my biggest complaint was the early closing of the breakfast buffet on a Friday. There were many holiday travelers attempting to get their breakfast and they were closing the doors at 9:00 AM. This seems too early, especially during the holiday season. The manager should have extended the breakfast hours to accommodate the guests.
