We were greeted by Clare and Lion at reception. Lovely, friendly and helpful. Our room was very small but clean. Bed was comfy and it was very quiet. We only stayed one night and it was perfect for our purposes passing through Taupō. I am sure there are bigger rooms available. The view from the front of the hotel is beautiful and the lake is magnificent.

Bed rolled together into the middle. No aircon unit just a fan and a window which couldn’t open fully due to security. Tv reception was awful. Other than that I guess you get what you pay for

I had a basic room so was accepting of the "basic" conditions. It was very clean, however several things could have been improved. the sheets looked a slight grey instead of crisp bright white. Throw over was very flat and needed replacing. Facilties available satisfactory. The kettle kept overloading the multi plug. Taps in the wash basin were loose. No plug for the bath tub. Carpet looked a little stained. When I looked out the window the exterior could do with a wash.

When we came early, we couldn’t check in cause they’re still cleaning. Pool was small, it was shown in the pic to be bigger. The room had loose window handles, loose coat hangers, no microwave so be ready to bring money to eat out. If you’re staying at the bottom floor, you can definitely hear the footsteps or turning on the water of others in their respective rooms. Only one window, it was really hot. The view to the lake is selective, we had a view of a corner literally dirt and plants.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Loved the pool and hot tub. Close to the center of Taupo. The downside was that the staff started cleaning surrounding rooms at 6am and loudly knocking on each door before entering.

This Lodge is very small and no aircon in very hot day. we couldn't open the window because of lots of insects and Fas was very noisy. This Lodge is very very very old and small. not recommended especially summer

Great location and awesome pool and spa. The spa was rather dirty but we used it regardless and tried not to mind. The room itself probably needs a good dusting cause myself and my partner found eachother constantly sneezing and having runny noses throughout our stay. Their rooms dont always have a microwave but they were fast to bring one to us. Unfortunately we were unable to use the kettle in the morning as the heating element looked extremely rusted and unsafe/dirty. The TV was not smart so watching netflix is not an option unfortunately. We did appreciate they had a charging station for EV cars and the location was just great. Good walk to the central resturaunts.
