This refurbished boutique hotel is located on the lakeside, so having a room at the front of the hotel is advisable. However, if you have a room at the back I suspect there will be less traffic/bar noise. The staff are all helpful and friendly, the room was spotlessly clean, simply furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge variety of food from smoked salmon, eggs cooked to order, to an impressive range of artisan breads. One of the ferry lines has a stop near the hotel. We were disappointed that there were no coffee and tea making facilities, particularly as this was the most expensive hotel we stayed at, however, this is really the only criticism of a really nice hotel in a lovely location in a fantastic area.
