Should’ve shelled out more for the Drury
The front desk staff is very friendly. There was a terrible stench in the hallway. Our room appeared clean and smelled like fresh paint. However, there was this hole in the wall, a piece of granite piece missing from the front of the bathroom sink, and the handheld shower head was not attached properly. Water sprayer out of the bottom of the head every which way. When I stay in hotels I do not take shower gel or a blow dryer because they provide. Our room had neither. When I went to shower the next morning I had not realized this. I did use the small bar of soap so that was fine. When I went to dry my hair that was a problem. The young man at the desk tried to be helpful but he came into our room and found that I was telling the truth about the blow dryer. I guess my wet hair and the language barrier challenging. Luckily I had time before our event and my hair air dried in just enough time to style it. The $150 deposit charged to my card on top of the $186 for the not so great room was ridiculous. Then to find out they wouldn’t credit my card back for 5-7 business days made me quite upset. Won’t be staying here again.
