We had booked this hotel for its pool and spa facilities…spa pool, sauna and steam room for a relaxing weekend. Although they’d announced it on the hotels facebook page on the 2nd (which we found once we’d arrived) there was nothing to say the pool and pool area was going to be shut from 13th (day before we arrived) for 6 week. So the very reason we booked this hotel was then unavailable! Would have been nice to get an update about this from the hotel beforehand, when they’d clearly knowing about it for at least 12 days beforehand! Kinda disappointing.

Stuff at the reception and breakfast were very friendly. breakfast was good. hotel in poor condition. not good smell once exit the elevator to the second floor. In my booking I requested 1 queen bed and I got 2 separate beds and this was the only available room! the bed sheets were not in good condition as well as the towels. bed and pillows not comfortable at all.

We had a great stay at the Lancaster Holiday Inn. The service was friendly and the facilities were just what we needed. The dinner and breakfast options were also great. Having an outdoor play area was also handy for two energetic young boys!

Good location just off the M6 Good hotel spacious rooms Clean, good size bathroom. A little dated with decor in the rooms. Try and get a room at the back as the front rooms are noisy from the road opposite.
