Escape to this charming farmhouse nestled in the breath-taking Condamine Gorge, near Killarney and Queen Mary Falls. Perfect for families looking to unplug and reconnect—there’s no TV or WiFi, just the simple joys of nature.
Kids can swing from trees, explore creeks, and meet friendly farm animals, including a horse, Highland and Belted Galaway cows, and alpacas.
Relax on the verandah while soaking in spectacular views of the gorge. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, koalas are regularly spotted in the trees, kangaroos are frequent visitors, and there is lots of birdlife.
A short 200-metre walk leads to the Condamine River, where you can swim, rock-hop, or try to spot a platypus. The river’s headwaters run through some of the most picturesque landscapes you’ll ever see.
For the more adventurous, take a walk or bike ride along the Condamine River Road, or tackle the famous ‘14 River Crossings’ track—accessible by four-wheel-drive .
Please note: There is no mobile reception (a bonus for some, a challenge for others!), but a free landline is available.
The Space
This spacious farmhouse comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across four bedrooms. The large central living area includes two additional couches for extra guests, with ample space for camping beds if needed—making it ideal for large family gatherings. Fresh linen and towels are provided, and all beds are made up for your arrival.
For those who love outdoor cooking, there’s an undercover firepit with cooking plates, camp ovens, and a modern BBQ. Inside, the kitchen is equipped with a wood-burning oven, a gas ring, a fridge, kettle, toaster, and all essential kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery, pots, and pans. Please note, there is no microwave.

Location
Situated in the stunning Scenic Rim, the farmhouse is just under a two-hour drive from Brisbane, with easy access via Boonah. The journey from Boonah forms part of the Falls Drive, one of the region’s most scenic drives past waterfalls and spectacular mountains and valleys.
For those keen to explore further during your stay, continue along Falls Drive towards Killarney to discover Browns, Daggs, and Queen Mary Falls, as well as the panoramic views from Carr’s Lookout.
The farmhouse is located close to The Head, the starting point of the Condamine River. The Condamine River begins its journey westward here, eventually joining the Murray-Darling River and flowing through South Australia, where the Murray Mouth meets the Southern Ocean.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire farmhouse and the surrounding 40-acre property, ensuring complete privacy and tranquillity. Keypad access details will be provided before your arrival.
