Wonderful hotel-beautiful northern town Thurso
This small hotel and the north of Scotland was one of our favourite Hotels during our whole trip. There’s so was a lovely town when we checked in at the hotel they were extremely busy. It was the dinner hour and obviously a very great place to eat as the dining hall was full. Despite being so busy, they were very kind and very welcoming. The rooms were immaculately clean. The hotel is old, but it was very comfortable and we felt most welcome. The hotel staff helped us arrange our transportation to the ferry the next morning and were consistently amazingly friendly! Breakfast was delicious!

The welcome was warm, room nice and well appointed. I had dinner and the veggie options were tasty. Locals were eating there, which tells you all you need to know. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was generous. Plenty of private off street parking and close to local amenities. Recommended.

Park hotel is extremely good both in accommodation and food. The decor is lovely in the rooms, restaurant and lounge area. Staff were extremely good. And on the plus side it’s got a gold award for being eco friendly. Loved the recycling box’s on the landing for paper, glass and plastics. Simply Fantastic

The staff was lovely and accommodating. We arrived late from the last train and had an easy and enjoyable walk from the station to the hotel. The kind woman on the phone assured us that they could accommodate our late check in, and when we arrived, the night porter was super friendly. The staff was also very gracious when we misread the checkout time and were late for that as well.

Enjoyable overnight stay. Comfortable room with modern electricals and good bathroom facs. Big towels! Dined in town but bar area comfortable. Breakfast rather basic but satisfactory. Staff very polite and friendly.

Good Location & Service
A 1 night stay on the NC500. As an EV driver the chargers in the car park and locally were a plus, although we didn’t need to use them. Room was a good size. We ate out in the evening but at breakfast we found the staff very willing to meet our requests. Hotel is well located and would happily return here.

A fine place to stay on the NC500
A modern hotel with dining facilities. Very good food and and breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Located in the town close to a supermarket and fuel. About 20 miles to John O Groats. The room was comfortable and spacious with a town view. This was our last stop on the NC500. Upon leaving it was easy to get to the A9 which we took all the way to Pitlochry. A good road. Meals were not included in the price but were good value given that the hotel cost was very reasonable.
