This is a vintage hotel experience, and if that appeals to you, then it is a good, rather expensive hotel. But the room we stayed in was very, very small, very dimly lit, and the bathroom, while it has been modernized(or perhaps the rooms originally had no bathrooms), had nowhere to put anything, no hooks or shelves, and there was nowhere to put our luggage. The dining room was elegant, but again with very dated lighting that really didn't render it appealing. Service was very professional and efficient, and the breakfast was the best imaginable. The grounds are lovely, and there was a wonderful pianist playing in the salon after dinner. This is an elegant place, but not really to my liking.
