Room temperature is centralized and if you feel hot or cold - you are stuck with whatever temperature was set. We request to turn off the heat, and they which to fan only. Still hot, ended up not using for the entire day.

Lovely place, would definitely stay there again. It’s away from the busy areas and well connected theough the subway system. The rooms are not as tiny as we thought they would be, and it’s a good affordable place to stay.

My stay at the APA hotel in Roppongi was awesome! From initial check-in the staff was friendly and helped me through the the steps when I had questions during the self check-in. The TV was actually a great tool that displayed the amenities of the hotel; free movies/ shows, wifi code, where the spa and washers were, times for the restaurant, even tourist info. Everything was clean and all the consumables would get replaced daily with a switching of the linen every 3 days which the TV would remind you of. The hotel is right next to an underground transit line and only a 5 minute walk to the nearest family mart. The at the very top was the pool/ observation area that gives you a good view of the city. The only things I had trouble with were the laundry washers and learning to use a pants press instead of an iron haha, other that I wouldn't mind staying again next time I visit the Tokyo.

The automated check in is a little disconcerting, but it appears to be the way of the future. Staff were very helpful and answering our questions. All the rooms are small, the amenities are quite nice, including yukata. You can just stick it in there. There are Japanese soaking tubs for men, women, but we did not use them.

Worst 2-night Stay.
It is the worst stay of any hotels in all my years of travel. I got a room on the second floor next to a street with window blocked by a structure despite paying over USD150 per night (a lot considering USD 1 to 153 Yen exchange). It was difficult to rest as I could hear people talking and noise from the street. I had to have a change of room for my second night and ended up getting a room on the 11th floor. The check-in was also unnecessarily slow and disorganized. A lot of guests had arrived between 2pm to 3pm but were made to wait in the lobby till check-in time at 3pm. When check-in time came around there was a crowd trying to check-in. Those who came later actually got ahead of the check-in line as staff did not bother to keep tracked who came first. Hotel staff was also having guests use automated check-in stations, but automated check-in is unable to account for special needs or circumstances, which ended up requiring personalized help anyways further slowing the process. Nearest metro subway station Roppongi and Roppogi-Itchome are at least 10 minutes walk away and not well connected requiring change of lines to get to most places. There are better hotels at the same rates. I do not recommend this hotel.
