We didn’t have the time to go to other cities on this trip to Tokyo so we were happy to find a Ryokan with a private onsen in Tokyo. Very close walk to Sensoji temple area. Conditions overall were pretty good, however do expect a less-than-traditional ryokan experience here. There was no tea ceremony, the Japanese breakfast was sub par as far as ryokans go, and the overall service was a bit unfriendly from the manager lady.

Be aware that the beds and pillows are very hard. Slept poorly as a result. I knew that’s the type of bed I’d signed up for but it wasn’t great for me is all. Shower room had a moldy smell everyday.

We had corner suite with sky tree view, fantastic view. Close to metro (6-7 mins) and restaurants and senso-ji. Sweet and friendly staff who helped arrange luggage transfer. Would recommend as a base for Tokyo. Just note - that it a good 30 minutes to get over to Shibuya and that side of town but metro is really easy to use especially if you get an IC card which we brought from Asakusa station.

Hidden Gem in Tokyo
I have been to Japan several times and the Asakusa area where this hotel is located is my favorite. The location is perfect, the service excellent and the rooms are clean. I would definitely stay in that hotel again if the opportunity presented itself.

Amazing place, a bit hard to find, but once you're there it's lovely. Floors have a small amount of rooms, very private. Rooms were surprisingly large (for Tokyo) and the outdoor bath and patio were so relaxing after a long day of walking around. Signed up for breakfast and was very pleased with the food and the portions, highly recommend.

While they had free coffee, tea and chilled water in the lobby all the time, It would have been great if they had some option to make coffee/tea in the room given they had already provided a kettle. One minor issue was that the storage area with the fridge and safe smelt a little musty

Just a bit naff for the cost. £260 a night and the place was full of tacky Halloween decorations and reception looked like the kind you’d find in a hostel. Room was great albeit lacking a few amenities, this place felt way off the level of hotel it’s advertised as.

Hotel was clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable but small as expected. Close to temple and markets. On the end of the Ginza line which is slightlly far from other tourist attractions.
