I like that was very convenient to everything clean room were very spacious the staff was very nice hotel is older but cute decor inside the lobby for really cute pictures and rooms decor was nice too.small hotel but kept very clean,i will defently recommend this hotel not to expensive either for the location.
The room was very tiny and looked like things were falling apart. The TV didn't work at all and we were told by the staff that 'that happens sometimes.' The elevator was not working so we had to take the stairs to get to our 5th floor room. An alarm went off at 6am in our room and our neighbours room, which was not turned off until over an hour and a half, in which we were unable to sleep. At one point the phone stopped working and I had to use my cell phone to contact the front desk for these issues.
Ratnesh, along with the shift manager, was very helpful during my stay. Although I faced some issues before check-in, they assisted me in resolving them smoothly and efficiently. They were also very attentive in ensuring all my check-in requests were met. Highly recommend !
I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms aren't big but they and the whole hotel have character and charm that you don't get with the more modern cookie cutter hotels. This hotel is very well-renovated so it does not look old inside yet still retains character. The staff are friendly, too
We've waited for the renovations in anticipation of staying at Hotel Victoria again. The lobby reno is very nice. That's where it ends. The room we had (facing Yonge st) was much smaller than what I booked. The windows on the 7th floor are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING on the street. There are gaps between the heater & outside wall. The front desk staff were unhelpful, didn't understand basic questions & essentially ignored & did nothing when we had serious concerns for the safety of someone outside the hotel clearly having a very challenging mental health crisis (causing extreme distress to us in our room). The other boutique or other classy & beautiful hotels in the same area are similar in price & customer service & hotel staff understand their jobs & know how to do them.
Hotel is right on the street you can’t park the car in front of the hotel to run in and check in, you have to find parking then walk to it; a little inconvenient but overall very nice hotel
The basic hotel room for a short stay in the city. Affordable.
Improvements I would suggest: having soap in the bathtub instead of lotion alongside shampoo and conditioner. Having a full-length mirror in the hotel room.
