Excellent except for parking garage

Everything was really great except we had a terrible time getting into the parking garage. The pass wouldn't work and the concierge said it was unusual, but it happened five times to us and was very frustrating. We finally had our pass replaced with garage pass that was not connected to our room key.

Staff was friendly, informative & very helpful no issues. Room 2604….. Bed was hard and pillows were flat. Lost sleep to discomfort Kitchen showed flood damage. Flooring was swelled and rippled. Slight damp smell. Room phone wasn’t working. Unable to access the room balcony. Toilet flushing issues. Reno’s are needed, was not as advertised online.

Basic stay

The room was clean but it needs some renovations. The AC/heat unit woke me up in the middle of the night about was extremely noisy. I found a switch to turn the vent off. The view from my room was nice. The window in the living room was broken in the open position.

This is very comfortable, convenient location & walkable to banks, restaurants, transit and shopping. Wonderful having a laundry! Some of the wallpaper on the walls & needs repair or replacement. Liked the flowers and plants at the entrance!

Pros: location, if you want to be close to downtown and the subway line(s). Full kitchen (full size fridge, dishwasher, stove, kettle, toaster). Easy in/out parking. Cons: loud, unbearably. This is not “city noise” but constant banging all night long from within the building. I have never stayed at such a loud hotel, I barely slept and came home from my trip exhausted. Stairs instead of ramps from areas like the parking garage. Makes hauling suitcases very difficult, likely impossible for disabled people. After checking in and parking, the elevator from the basement would not close, until a staff member came and literally held it shut on the way up. Other than the shower/tub, sinks, and sheets, the rest of the room is grimey, for lack of a better word. Smears on walls, surfaces. Duvet was stained with what looks like blood. Coffee maker wouldn’t work until I moved it to a completely different outlet. Was only one coffee cup provided initially. Toilet wouldn’t flush unless I opened the tank and pulled up the chain each time. Wall plugs are so loose that chargers barely stay in the wall. Some of the lamps and bedside lights were literally hanging on for dear life. Overall: Would not stay again.
