Average hotel.
Unfortunately we got a room too close to the road. It was noisy right from the break of daylight which was around 5.30am. We were traveling with a couple of kids so conditions were not conducive. Our Room was spacious which was the plus point but old and musty smelling. However, the hotel owner, I believe he was, was gracious to lend us a babycot.

Amazing view and great breakfast!
The Good: Amazing view from our room. Great and delicious breakfast! Staff was friendly and helpful, however only a handful can speak English. Very friendly manager. About 10 minutes walk to town center. The Bad: We were unable to turn on the room aircon a few times with the remote, had to get help from the staff. On our second morning, the shower did not have hot water.

Beautiful views, affordable
The room had a beautiful view. The room was clean. The bathroom was small and seemed clean but didn't exactly feel clean because of the old condition. The breakfast that was included was decent. We had laundry done that was quick and convenient. Overall, considering the price we were happy with the stay.

Nice view but hotel definitely can do better
We liked the mountain view of the hotel and the room decoration. Breakfast was quite good. The first room we stayed, the bathroom had terrible smell coming from the pipe. We told the staff and they were willing to move us to another room though. We saw a couple of cockroaches in the room at night, we understand that there are plenty of them in a tropical country but they definitely could have had their pest control done more regularly.

Good Hotel with Great Views
The hotel was cheap, close to the main area of Sapa town. The views were great.

average hotel in a more pricey area
first room was awesome but the hot water did not work. second room was smaller but the shower was weak, had a broken door and weak pressure due to plumbing leaks tied up with plumbers tape. the first night a meal was included that was really average. beware of construction in front jackhammer starting at 6am

View magnificent, the rest OK
The room was adequate for what we wanted. The lady at the front desk was very helpful booking tours. We had stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and little had changed. Unfortunately there is lots of building going on in Sapa at the moment and it is very very noisy. Jackhammers going all day and into the evening destroyed the peaceful feel of Sapa that we remembered. Although our view from the 4th floor was magnificent, the climb up the stairs became wearing. Breakfast, although adequate, seems to have dropped off from our last visit.

No heating and far too cold
This little hotel was terribly cold. Not only is there no heating in the rooms, there is no area where you can go to warm up. The only place that is warm is in bed, thanks to electric blankets. A heater can be provided on request but it did little to warm up the room. We had an early check-in but the room had not yet been properly cleaned from the previous guests. The location was not too bad, close to restaurants, but breakfast was a chaotic mess. The best part of the hotel is the ginger tea available in your room. We were on the fifth floor with no elevator.

Good hotel but go when its warmer.
I was in Sapa during Tet holiday. The biggest drawback is that during the winter, this hotel and i found most hotels and restaurants were not equipped to handle the cold weather. A heat fan and heated mattress, warm comforters etc were provided but I would suggest that Sapa visitors go during the warmer season.

Beautiful Views and outstanding service
We stayed here for a few nights in mid-November. First off, service from the younger front desk staff was outstanding! They are so warm and hospitable. They really made our stay in Sapa memorable, and what really kept us at this hotel. They arranged the shuttle pick up and drop off from Lao Cai about $3US per person each way, and an awesome trekking tour for us. Upon arrival (early morning from the night train) we were given a room to rest, and shower (That room was at the back of the hotel with no windows. Street/construction noise wasn't heard from here). The room we booked was a view room with balcony. We got lucky with clear weather, and got to enjoy the outstanding views that Sapa has to offer. There is construction going on next to the hotel so while this hotel is a little out of the middle of downtown and quieter, the construction did start early in the morning, and go till sundown. Even on the day of check out they allowed us to keep the room until much later in the day so we could shower up before getting on the night train again. The weather was moderate so I couldn't comment on how air conditioning or heating worked as we didn't require either during our stay. We were out and about each day and passed out pretty quickly each night, despite wishing the bed was a little softer (We didn't ask if they had any other options, perhaps they do??) Thanks to the staff we enjoyed our stay here.

helpful staff. bedding felt damp
I booked this at last moment and staff upgraded me to a room over looking the valley which must have fantastic views when no fog . really lovely position. bathroom was clean . room looked tired and things looked dusty. when I climbed into bed. bedding felt damp - electric blanket helped a bit with this after an hour .I touched the headboard in the middle of the night to turn on light and my hand were dusty. staff were very polite and helpful

Nice hotel with great staffs
I was stay there for 4 days 3 nights and overall I like this hotel. Especially staffs are well trained and quite efficient. You can ask anything and they are ready to help. I love the smiles on their faces too. Room is just ok though. The only complain I have is the shower. Water isn't just coming out much and bathroom is quite small too even though room was mountain view grade. There is no elevator so no ideal for elderly. Foods at this hotel are amazing. Even foods preparation, they did really pay attention to detail. Taste is quite good and I liked to sit at outside table. But one tip for the VN coffee at this hotel. Remember to ask for less sweet. Overall I like this hotel and recommended to anyone who likes to enjoy great services and foods.

Good deal for Sapa
Good location with a great view, the main down sides being the lack of indoor heating (common to most hotels in Sapa) and that the reception staff seems to have a widely varied level of English.

Clouds make the view difficult to see
If the clouds lifted, I imagine that the view would be spectacular. But it was not to be. The hotel is on the basic side but comfortable. The shower was a little temperamental, and the room smelt a bit damp - but to be expected when there seems to be little reprieve from the cloud and the damp outside. An electric blanket on the bed took the chill off during the night.

Lovely, friendly hotel with amazing views
We had a short but fantastic stay at the Sapa View hotel. The room was lovely and the views were magnificent, however, the best thing would have been the friendly and helpful staff! Also if you can, you should also organise a tour with the Sapa O'Chau group. We really enjoyed our 1 day hike through the villages and they sound like a great social enterprise.

Good location, quiet and nice view
We had a nice stay at SAPA view Hotel. The hotel staffs were very nice and helpful. There was free(& delicious)breakfast overlooking the rice field. It is great that we had the option to sit outside or inside. The rooms have nice wooden furniture and also a fireplace for winter. The bathroom is very modern with heater and nice shower area. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Sapa View Hotel and highly recommend it.

We loved our stay at Sapa View Hotel
Our room had a wonderful view of the mountains and valley. The room was comfortable and we had electric blankets if needed. Our host offered great advice about visiting the local villages and we took 2 of their day tours. Breakfast was provided everyday and their was plenty of choice. Our host employs local people for the tours so you are able to learn a lot about village life.

Great hotel with a unique design
We enjoyed Sapa View very much. Although it was misty during our stay, we were sure there would be a better view on a good day. Its slightly down the road from the bulk of main street action so its quieter but accessible to everything nonetheless. If you are trekking with Sapa O'Chau then this hotel is a recommended option because they have an outpost in the lobby which is convenient for payment, information or a meeting point with your guide.
