Beautiful location
If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, in a beautiful location, in a simple but elegant home, this place is for you. Emilio and Raffaella looked after us perfectly. They were a text or a phone call away if we needed them (we didn’t really) and made sure we had everything we needed. Would 100% recommend.

Wonderful stay
This property is incredible. The house is surrounded with lovely private gardens, and the views are epic. It's perfect for a relaxing, quiet stay if you're looking for down time from hustle & bustle. The location is central to nice drives to many beautiful beaches around Salento. Amenities in Tricase Porto are a short walk away. Emilio and his brother are wonderful hosts, accessible, thoughtful, and kind. Highly recommend a stay here.

Earthly Paradise
The charming little stone house is totally private and perfect for a revitalising retreat in heavenly surroundings! The terraced gardens that surround the property have so many charming places to sit and sun and watch the lizards come out to play - listen to the birds (many goldfinches), practise your yoga, read … or just “be”. But then through the gate and down the windy stone steps to the sea. Not for the faint hearted getting in - but once in the deep it’s another world, a dream to snorkel and perfect swimming. There has been such love in the design of this property. And Emilio the host was always there (at the end of a phone) to help out with any needs … but in his absence we met his brother and his amazing mother. We really hope to come back next year and it will hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

A special place
Two of us spent a wonderful week in this spectacular house. The place is a paradise. The house itself is basic, but contains everything you need. However, the house itself isn't the reason you would book to stay here- the incredible garden is the draw, which is split over three levels with the house in the middle. The garden is fully enclosed and entirely private, and our usually city-dwelling dog was in paradise with the freedom she had- we can't tell whether we or the dog are the most upset that we had to come home. We were afforded huge flexibility by Emilio and his lovely family who live in the area, resolving our only issue (the internet speed) within a few hours. Credit to the whole family for their hospitality and bending over backwards to make the whole stay smooth and relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Unbelievable experience, great people, and surprisingly affordable!
We had an INCREDIBLE stay at Casa Mare. Gabriele and Emilio were very flexible when we were a little delayed at the airport, and they met us at the property to show us around and help us get settled. The house was perfect for two couples, and the extensive gardens around it provided a feeling of total privacy and quiet, despite being close to a well-travelled road. Access to the water is easy, as is the walk to the town. We can't wait to go back! If you want to experience small town life in southern Italy, this is the way to do it!

Perfect for a weeks relaxation
We booked this following exams and changing jobs. We couldn’t have picked a better spot. The grounds are amazing, the property is very nice and the sunrises are to die for. The sea is refreshing and no restaurant is more than a 20 minute walk in the town. The hosts are friendly and accessible and resolved the WiFi issue for our teenager in a day. An excellent place

A beautiful house in an idyllic garden with superb views of the sea
We were warmly welcomed by Raffaella and immediately realised this is a very special place. The house is a restored old stone building with a terrace which leads down to the garden with its mature trees, shrubs and seating areas, all offering complete privacy and quiet. Plenty of shade from the sun and stunning views out to the sea and beach. A gate leads down to the rocky shore and clear blue water where you can swim in total privacy. As painters we had plenty to occupy ourselves in this stunning garden. The harbour with it’s cafes, restaurants and little general shop is an easy walk away and Tricase which is a five minute drive has supermarkets and other shops. The coast here is particularly beautiful and Otranto and Gallipoli are well worth visiting. Lecce was somewhat disappointing as so many churches were covered up for restoration. I would recommend anyone to visit this part of Italy and it would be hard to find a more idyllic place to stay.

Beautiful house and gardens, great location, ideal for relaxing and exploring Salento
We had a perfect break in Tricase Porto, helped by Emillio and his family who couldn't have been more helpful from booking and during stay. The house is in a beautiful setting, well equipped with wifi working fine and the quietest air con which was a relief at times. The garden has so many great place to chill and with sea and snorkelling as part of the garden it's easy to stay put and relax completely. The local village has excellent restaurants in walking distance, bar, museum and shop. If you can drag yourself away to explore there are lovely nearby towns at Tricase, Castro, Otranto and Galipolie and a day trip to Lecce in east driving distance. We visited because of the regional folk music Pizzica, a great band Officina Zoe were due to play at Tricase Porto during our visit. Emillio helped us with this and organised for us to meet them which was amazing. They played on the beach at the harbour late into the night, with dancing on the sand and into the sea, a truely magical trip. Thanks to Emilio, Gabriele, Raffaella and Vito for a wonderful holiday

Wunderschöner riesiger Terrassengarten direkt am Meer. Spektakulärer Meerblich von jeder Terrasse, überall originelle Sitzplätze. Auch im Haus absolut alles was man braucht. Vue imprenable sur la mer
Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour à Tricase Porto. La maison est simple mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut et c'est surtout les extérieurs qui nous ont plus. C'est immense, il y a plein de petits endroits où se reposer ou prendre l'apéro. L'endroit est au calme, on se sent seuls au monde avec la mer au fond du jardin. Idéal pour des vacances au calme avec des restaurants accessibles à pied. Nous recommandons vivement. Merci pour ces belles vacances.

Tolles Haus mit „eigenem“ Strandzugang
Schönes Haus auf riesigem Grundstück, toller gepflegter Garten, mehrere Terrassen und „eigener Strand“, Aussendusche und sogar zwei Kanuboote. Der Gastgeber Emilio hatte gute Tipps und war immer erreichbar. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

Sehr nette Vermieter. Traumhafte Lage des Grundstückes direkt am Meer. Die Gestaltung des riesigen Gartens ist wunderschön. Unsere Hunde konnten sich frei auf dem eingegrenzten Grundstück bewegen. Wir waren Mitte Oktober da. Wir hatten noch sommerliches Wetter und konnten im Meer baden und Kajak fahren.
