Wonderful house

Spend the several days with my family and dog. The house was well equipped and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. House borders a big expanse of woods which was great for the my dog to explore. Would definitely stay here again.

Ultra Clean and Convenient

Very spacious, kitchen was nicely outfitted, cushy bedroom comforters were appreciated! Bathrooms were super clean and large. Good layout for large group with two separate living rooms. Neighborhood was quiet and our boat fit nicely on the driveway.

Best ever

We have rented a number of VRBO properties over the years and this was by far the nicest. It was very clean and well-equipped. We also lucked out with cooler weather, so overall it was a great trip for my husband's 70th birthday celebration with family.

Perfect for our siblings and spouses reunion!

This house was the ideal location and layout for our older-adult family reunion. It was very clean and very well maintained. The living spaces and deck were spacious and lovely. The host was friendly and responsive. We couldn't have asked for more.

Christmas in Tahoe

Family spent Christmas in this cabin and it was wonderful. We had 4 families and it fit us comfortably. Judy was very responsive to questions I had about the cabin leading up to our trip and while we stayed. We would highly recommend for anyone with multiple families and dogs.

Beautiful home, great host, perfect stay!

Judy was a great host at this large, clean, and well-maintainted Truckee home. When our group needed to reschedule our original trip due to Covid, Judy worked quicky to try to accommodate our changing travel plans. There was enough parking for our group of 9 (5 cars), the beds were fantastically comfortable, the wifi was fast, and the kitchen was big enough and sufficiently equiped to feed and serve everyone. 5/5 would definitely stay here again

Excellent house, great location, fantastic for 2 families

We went up to Tahoe Donner to ski after the recent snows, and the short 3-4 minute drive to the downhill was a big bonus. The house was very nicely kitted out, communication was clear and fast, checkin/out simple. We'll be back.

Great house and great hosts

The house is a beautiful and lovely place that made our family holiday trip enjoyable and a memorable experience. The open layout of the family room and great view is perfect for spending time with family, yet there is privacy with the bonus room if needed. Judy and Brad are wonderful hosts. They were very accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions. We would absolutely stay here again.

Awesome Home!

Everything about our week at the Gyrfalcon home was wonderful, even considering the overwhelming amount of snow that fell. The home was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with most anything we needed for a great winter week. The four rooms with king or queen beds was perfect for our adult daughters and their husbands, and there were still ample twin beds for our grandkids. Judy and Brad (the owners) were responsive and helpful. It was a privilege to stay there and we hope to come back again sometime in the future!

Thanksgiving Family Retreat

This property was all that was advertised. Very nice and clean. We enjoyed it. Our recommendation is to provide some better cabinet storage and remove family photos. We appreciated being able to park the vehicle in the garage. Responsive owner checked in immediately after we checked in and after we left. WE would stay at this house again.

Perfect Holiday Retreat

Every year my husband and I travel to Truckee with our closest friends for an annual Friendsgiving celebration weekend. It's something we look forward to each year, and this year did not disappoint. The Colton's home is completely lovely and we so enjoyed the time we spent there. We really appreciate the care and consideration with which they keep their home and all the little extra touches that made our stay easy and comfortable. Everything is kept impeccably clean, with quality linens, towels, dishes, etc. It's a very special home and a truly lovely getaway rental. Thank you, Colton family!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home was clean, beds are super comfortable, kitchen had all amenities, and the bonus game room was a hit with the kids. Vacation get-away with Dogs

We wanted to get out of town and spend time with friends. But at the last minute our plans changed and we needed to find a place that gave the family the space we needed as well as accommodate our two small dogs. With only 4 days until our trip, we found this wonderful home. We received our email reservation confirmation right away, as expected and the day before the trip we were provided with further details and the access code. Judy, the owner was in touch with us a few times over the trip and was very prompt to respond to our needs. It felt luxurious for the three of us to each have their own room. I definitely want to return with more friends to share the relaxing experience. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to prepare food onsite. Since the weather was nice; we were able to enjoy meals on the deck. Having access to the Tahoe Donner facilities was a bonus. We can’t wait to return.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 toddlers enjoyed 9 nights in this spacious, comfortable, well stocked kitchen, clean home. Spent many late afternoons on the back deck with the little ones exploring the open back yard forest, just steps down from the deck. Owners generous to have available to us beach (towels, chairs, umbrella) & toddler accessories (books, booster seat, pack ‘n play, deck tables & chairs). House located on a level street allowing kids scootering on our evening walks. Appreciated fans in all rooms during our warm week there. Host Judy was very responsive to all our questions and very welcoming. Wonderful stay!

You can't go wrong with this beautiful Truckee home!

We are a large group of 4 families with kids of varying ages that regularly visit Truckee. Everything about this property was great, impeccably maintained and clean premises, plenty of supplies, utensils & games., very spacious home with a large living area and a dedicated greet/game room, great location minutes away from Donner lake and above all a really friendly and gracious host in Judy. She connected with me right after I made the reservation and was in touch throughout the trip, generously sharing information and being really accommodative with our requests. The one suggestion I'd have is to improve the WiFi connection if possible. Overall you can't go wrong with this property. Enjoy your stay in beautiful Truckee!
