Downtown hotel

Great hotel and great service. Only thing that was a little concerning was you have enter through a gate. After check in we were given a code but when coming back from a concert we were not asked for code or any other identifying information. We pulled up And they lets us in the gate. For the most part the hotel was great and the customer service was great.

I completed all check in information on the app and was provided a room number prior to arrival. Upon arrival I was given my room key card and it turns out they had checked someone else in under my name. Meaning, they did not check the ID of that person to verify they were placed under the correct reservation ( found out later they had a very similar last name) the attendant at the front desk was able to secure another room for me and told me that happens a lot. Which is very concerning… also, one of the other attendants were very rude, interrupting constantly while we were trying to resolve this issue and asking questions like where are more staples.

We arrived and our air conditioner would not shut off! We slept for 23 nights in a room that was 60 degrees...we had 2 small children and it was miserable...Hotel is old and outdated. Called multiple times to have heat fixed and we got nothing...way overpriced and was not pleasant. Lots of homeless in area.

The hotel and staff were very pleasant. The sheets were soft and the mattresses were comfortable. There was no noise from other guests or from the street. Our corner room was spectacular. Our only concern was the area around the hotel seemed to attract some homeless and we didn't feel safe walking to the Mayo for our conference.

Room was decent. There wasn’t enough lighting in the room. Didn’t like the fact that the refrigerator was in the restroom area under the sink. I think that’s an odd place for someone to want to store beverages. Sofa wasn’t as comfortable, it was a bit firm. But bed was very soft. The main issue was the main door wasn’t working when we arrived, we had to use the side door which does not open from the outside so we had to wait on someone to come open the door. I left to get food & came back and waited outside over 5mins thinking I needed to go through the side door still. Staff was standing around the front desk & no one looked that way to see me standing there and the wind was blowing really hard outside. Eventually I went around towards the front and the door opened which frustrated me because there should have been some type of communication that the door was back working. I wasted time sitting outside the side door thinking the main door was still not working. The elevator stopped working shortly after so we had to use the stairs. Super hard to do with smaller children. I actually slipped and fell on the stairs trying to get back to the room with smaller kids. A lot of inconveniences happened just within the first 3hrs of being there. So I have already placed in my head this would not be a place I believe I would want to stay at again.
