This was my second time at coco tulum and my problems started as soon as we arrived and the AC was not working. Mitzi was a sweetheart and changed our room for the night while they fixed our problem. I asked to me moved to Coco unlimited which is a little better and the manager said it wasn’t possible. I was with my kid. Then breakfast was very bad, the restaurant had only a few options. Then a storm happened and our room was flooded. I spoke with orbitz. the manager said I should have talked to him so they would move us to the other hotel. First we couldn’t and now we could. But I decided to stay the last night at coco tulum and had to put our belongings on top of the shelves and woke up to our room completely flooded and I am not even joking. Mitzi came during a very strong storm and asked if we wanted to move and I said no because the storm was pretty scary. She is a keeper, this girl. Management was just annoyingly trying to keep us there no matter what. I even had to hear: “but last night you didn’t want to change rooms” how was I supposed to know that our room was going to be underwater? Water falling down from our walls, from everywhere. We had to move the mattress so we could be dry. They need an investment asap. We would spend 20 days and left after 5. This hotel is a scam and ruined our vacation. I love Tulum, it was my 7th time in the city. I hope they make the investments necessary to keep their guests comfortable and I hope they learn how to speak with clients.

The lady at front desk moves at a snails pace and has no sense of urgency. They need more than one person at the front desk. She has glasses on in case you want to know. The security guard was helpful and friendly. There was no tv in our room.

Beautiful quiet beach hotel in Tulum
Enjoyed a nice quiet space at coco Tulum. Breakfast on the beach patio was a bonus and staff very friendly. Double bed room had plenty of space for our family trip of 3. Rooms were kept today and grounds well maintained. Location on the strip was good as well. Would definitely return to Coco Tulum. Thank you !

Coco Tulum Beach - A Mixed Bag Experience
Let's begin with the positives. Propbay, undoubtedly, stands out as the best beach spot in all of Tulum. While other people in fancier hotels might be cramped on top of each other, Coco Tulum Beach offers a serene and genuinely beautiful environment. I also must commend the staff for their friendliness. However, my experience with the quality of my room (Room 33) was less than satisfactory. The cabana was in poor condition with insufficient lighting, desperately needing a major refurbishment. Despite the efforts of the cleaning staff, it always appeared dirty. Furthermore, the air conditioning was faulty and stopped working altogether on the last night of my stay. After several requests, I have to prove I was right (the person at the night shift that was not able to fix the issue and haven't left any notes) I was offered a 50% discount on a meal at the hotel restaurant, which felt inadequate. In my opinion, if the AC is not functional, the hotel should offer another room or compensate for the inconvenience by covering the cost of the night. Additionally, the room was advertised as having a "partially sea view," but in reality, it required significant effort to catch a glimpse of the sea from the terrace. Lastly, the prices at the bar were excessively high, but this seems to be a common issue in Tulum.

The welcome was great from the lady that served me. They first gave me the wrong room but she immediately corrected it. The room was spacious and pleasant. The toilet area could use a little work. The cleaning staff are amazing but no english. The beach was always clean. Men worked very hard to clear away the seaweed from overnight. Some staff at the beach are pleasant but some have more of "guard" presentation and not friendly. The food is not exactly my cup of tea. A little blah for what you pay for. The breakfast was the same thing everyday and not great and no meat. Basic scrambled egg, some sort of tortilla chips and sauce, toast, flat dry pancakes, cut fruit and boxes of cereal. Basic coffee and tea. Overall for the location its far from anything else on the strip. Highly recommend transportation. The road to the hotel is very dark in comparison to farther down where all the restaurants and shopping are located. On the plus side its peaceful.

The pool was a simple hole in the floor with dirty, sandy, foamy, moldy water. I saved up for this vacation and the pictures shown, were definitely false advertising. I WANT A FULL REFUND. The comforter on the bed smelled dirty with a mixture of old lady perfume. It was disgusting to imagen someone else's sweat was still on that comforter. The lounge chairs kn the beach are rotting feel almost unsafe, like they are about to collapse when you lean on them, they wooden painted white, but peeling everywhere, the cushions are filthy. Very disappointing. I emailed them directly and didnt even respond, no apology nor acknowledging my email whatsoever. Thank you in advance for responding to my email and reuest. I have pictures if you need them. My email me and i will attach pictures.
