You don't have to be stuck on the highway all day to see some nature around these parts. Just 45 kilometres out of Ustaoset, Voringfossen is a great place to get a breath of fresh air. More scenic surrounds are waiting for you at Langedrag Nature Park, 45 kilometres away.

Once you've picked up a trail map and pass at Hemsedal Ski Center, you won't want to waste any time making your way to the top of the mountain! You may also like to jump on the chairlift and carve up the pistes at Nesbyen Alpinsenter.

If you head 30 kilometres to the northeast from Ustaoset, you'll come across Al. Many travellers like to use this destination as a base when going to Ski/Snowboard Cable Park and Al Skisenter.

Plan on going to Voss? This destination is only 90 kilometres to the west. If you're setting up base here, get a map and circle Vangskyrkja, the Hangursbanen Cable Car and Hangurstrekket. Also consider stopping in at Ekspressheisen and Alphaheisen.
