A room without a view!
Booked a deluxe room with balcony as we wanted to enjoy Eidfiord and the view. But we had no view as the cruiseliners dock right in front of the hotel. Only compensation was a “sorry” when we checked in. So make sure to check if a cruise ship is in port before booking a room with a view.

The hotel is a great location. We had a regular room that didn't look out to the water. Our room was basic and the handbasin did not drain bery well. The shower screen was hopeless with water going everywhere. We paid $280 Aus for the night and this did include breakfast. The room did not have a fridge or coffee making facilities. You are paying an enormour price for the location. There is very little choice for food for dinner int Eidfjord. We bought two beers and some pizza pieces from the CoOp supermarket. Norway is so expensive for eating out.

Nice hotel, nice location
Beautiful location at the head of a fjord which was only spoilt when a cruise ship arrived. Nice large room. Only criticism is that bfast was due at 8. We needed to leave promptly and when we got down the place was packed with tour groups. Bfast clearly started earlier and we could have been there.
