Trust us, Valor is the kinda place that's worth taking work off for. You'll discover it in Andalucia, a popular region known for its amazing beaches. Need we say any more?
It's located 380 kilometres south of Madrid, Spain's capital city.
45 kilometres west of Valor is Huetor Vega. This place is home to one of the region's leading attractions, Alhambra.
Search for seashells to add to your collection at home or try to spot small animals like cuttlefish and crabs at San Jose Beach and Nerja Beach. You'll find these glorious coastlines 90 kilometres and 75 kilometres away, respectively.
The relaxing sounds of the natural world await you at Mulhacen. It's situated just 20 kilometres away, so you needn't be stuck in a car all day. Poqueira Gorge, 25 kilometres away, is one more popular option.
Make your way 45 kilometres west to Estadio Nuevo los Carmenes to see a gripping live game of soccer. Located in Zaidin, this venue is the home of the Granada FC, so don your red and white and get set to cheer!
Feel the icy wind tussle your hair as you race your way down the slopes at Puerto de la Ragua. If you're a real shredder, you should also see what's on offer at Escuela de Esqui y Montana Al Andalus Activa.
You'll discover even more just down the road. Paterna del Río, 13 kilometres to the east, is known for Convent of San Pascual Bailon and Shrine of Our Lady of Health. Alternatively, if the Bodega Barranco Oscuro and the Asociacion Jardin de la Alpujarra sound better to you, travel 14 kilometres southwest from Valor to Juviles.
Go on a day trip and see some sights in Cenes de la Vega. This place is 40 kilometres away and quite close to Generalife, the Sacromonte Abbey and Aquaola. That being said, you shouldn't forget about the Carmen de los Martires Gardens and Los Cahorros either.
