The most unpleasant experience ever in a hotel !!!
Well let me start by saying I have never been treated like a criminal in a hotel. The maid accused my 33 yr. old daughter of stealing an iron from the room. I called up the manager, who told me her name was Lily but wouldn't give me her last name. I explained I was paying for 2 rooms, 1 for my husband and I and 1 for my daughter, and have no need for stealing an iron and she could check all our bags if she wanted too, because I could not believe this maid. Lily if that is her real name, said there was no need for that. I thought that was that, but when we checked out, they still charged us for the iron and when I refuse to pay for it she said the maid that cleaned the room the night before said the iron was in the room, therefore my daughter must have taken it because it was no longer there, and if I didn't pay for it, I could not have my passport back which they had.. Incredible!! I had no choice, I ended up paying for the iron $ 28.00 so I could get my passport back. Never in my life of travels had I, or my family such an unpleasant experience. Very unprofessional office staff. Very rude and didn't care about us all.

Don't stay here
This,was probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Old, rundown and very dirty. There was a pile of garbage outside our door and a rust hole in our bath. There was a leak from upstairs into our bedroom which I reported to the cleaner but she just smiled and left. The grass outside our door probably was not cut in months, the window in or bathroom was broken and there was no lock on the patio door and they call this a 4 star hotel!!!

Big disappointment comparing money for the service, gym and room very basic facilities not seen as 4/5 star service. Plus information about the meal services incorrect (crep service never available) nobody to talk to and get compensation instead. Hotel is overrated and not worth money asked. Poor selection of food. It was not all in but diet in. Also offered local alcohol instead proper rum and vodka. Animation team activities never seen untill night show which was great. Some staff moody and ruse except bright exceptions with excellence customer service and attitude; receptionist Teressa, bar tender at beach bar Gonzalo, main restaurant waiters- lady serving outside for dinner Yanda (sorry for the misspeling the names) thank you

This hotel exceeded my expectations by far. The check in process was extremely fast and kind. There was a pregnant woman in my party and we requested if they could give us 1 of our 2 rooms before 4pm (standard time) and they had it ready by 3pm. Food was really good and the variety of all meats was really surprising. The distance between the hotel and the beach is very short and all the activities were really good. I highly recommend it!

Simple and unpretentious with easy beach access
Ours was a short stay of 4 days at the end of a much longer tour of Cuba. We chose this hotel for its smaller size - just two storey blocks in a garden setting - and close proximity to a very fabulous beach. It exceeded our expectations. Food was plentiful and varied enough, with Mexican, Italian and Cuban food served in two restaurants outside the main buffet area. The room was clean and spacious ( does the odd cracked tile really matter?), lovely pool, nightly entertainment and endless cocktails if that’s what you want. Staff were friendly and largely helpful. The Beachfront was the lovlier for not being dominated by a massive hotel. It struck us as good value, unpretentious and perfectly adequate. Our only complaint would be that some of the ‘daily activities’, such as dance classes, didn’t materialise - perhaps because the excessive heat at the stated times would discourage people. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

Good but hotel needs maintenance
The hotel staff and the facilities were good. The main issue was with the maintenance of the hotel the air conditioning was leaking, the patio doors were broken which meant the room wasn't secure. However, they were really good about us checking in early and even gave us the bands to use all the facilities for the whole day. The beach facilities were really great the only thing we had to pay for was scuba diving which was well worth the 20CUC

Good location, close to beach, no extra charge for food or drinks. But I need to wait till 4pm for checkin and need to check out at 12pm the next day. The room is big enough, with basic facilities. With the price I am good with what I have. Many mosquitos, remember to protect yourself.

When wearrived to our hotel. You went to check in . At first they couldn’t find our reservation after about 15 minutes the lady noticed that it was through Expedia. Then she checked us in to a double twin bedroom, Mind you it’s just me and my wife when I asked if I could be changed to another room she gave me attitude and told me that the paperwork was already done. So not to ruin my trip I just grab the keys and went to the room. When I got to my room My key didn’t open the door. Went back to the front desk and told him the key wasn’t working when they gave me a look like I was retared, she then made me a new key and watched me from the camera to see if it worked. As she seen it didn’t worked she then called security to open the door 20 min later they show up to my door. I tell him the light is flashing on the door that usually means the battery’s are dead. He told me he was going to send someone right away. Two hours later when I wake up from my nap still no one has showed up. I get ready and go have dinner hoping that when I got back the door would be fixed. It wasn’t I had to go to the front desk and tell the lady again my door wasn’t working and she called security. As I waited 30 minutes for someone to show again no one showed up, so I went to the front desk again to tell them no one has showed up the lady Apologized and called her security again. They let me in but the door didn’t get fixed till 11pm

Expedia's reservation was never received
Expedia's hotel was never received by the hotel or honored; i had to pay separately at a higher price. The toilet didn't flush and finally, the next day after a plumber said it had to be replaced, we compromised and used a bucket to fill up to help flush the toilet so we didn't have to move for our final night. We already wasted several hours in the lobby for both of these issues. Overall, the experience is not bad-- we are told not as good as the more upscale hotels next door; the beach is the same- sensational.

Great Location! The staff was amazing! The rooms were huge and comfortable. You must try all on site restaurants! The Cuban restaurant and Italian were the best!

Problems
This hotel is an all inclusive which Hotels.com does not have it as. You must register all people staying. We had major issues at check in because i rented a room that was suppose to be for two adults and a child but i did not put my daughters name on the registration so they made purchase another room. I made a very expensive call to Hotels.com and they said they could not do anything. Hotel.com does not have the country of Cuba down. The info they provide is not correct. Front desk was rude and rooms were just enough to sleep. Be careful.
