Even though there aren't any hotels in Veciana's centre, there are 6 digs within 30 kilometres where you can hit the hay (and perhaps hit the mini bar).

Upon waking up in your outrageously comfy bed at Parador de Cardona and Rusticae Hotel Bremon, it won't take long to get to Veciana (as long as you don't press that snooze button too many times!)

Just 30 kilometres away from Veciana is the Arianella B&B and Apartment. It's a great option if you're still looking for a room to spend a night or two.

While in Els Hostalets, make sure you visit Aidina Park and the Santa Cova Funicular.

Travel 50 kilometres south and you'll find yourself in Calafell, a regional centre with a population of 24,000. While you're in this neck of the woods, whip out your selfie stick and get your tourist on at the La Graiera Golf Club, Calafell Slide and Santa Creu Castle. The Pau Casals Museum and Ciutadella Iberica are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some photo ops. Calafell has hotels and apartments that should suit everyone, such as the Apartamentos Costamar and Hotel Apartamentos Solimar.

Ever spent a night on the hard airport floor cos you got way too excited and forgot to make a hotel booking? Save yourself a cricked neck and snap up a room at the Barcelona Airport Hotel or the TRYP Barcelona Aeropuerto Hotel. Words can't describe how much I loved Can Farres. All of the staff was absolutely amazing, especially both Carola and Karine. I stayed there for only a couple of nights with 2 friends and we wish that we could have stayed longer. It was easily our favorite place that we stayed in. Before arriving, we were assisted with transportation directly to the hotel. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the gorgeous property. The photos online doesn't do it justice. The hotel sits on a huge property and has the most beautiful view of the mountains right behind it. There's also an amazing trail on the property which brings you through their vineyards and olive trees. Everywhere is so picturesque. Carola and Karine helped a lot with recommendations for restaurants and making reservations. The restaurants in the area were a short walk from the hotel and were really tasty. They also arranged taxi drives both to and from the hotel which made transportation much easier. If you're looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, look no further. I love it there and wish that I could have stayed much longer. I definitely plan on coming back and will always recommend it to anyway visiting the area.
