Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 8 day stay. We stayed oct 9- Oct 17th From the staff to the grounds even the food was all excellent. Cherry on top was the beautiful weather. Not one day of daytime rain only few sprinkles at night. It felt very safe and almost secluded. The piece of beach the resort owns was gorgeous. Cleaning staff cleaned very well and replenished everything we used up. Will definitely be back again.

Do NOT Book with Hyatt Vacation Club — Consider This a Warning I’m sharing this so others don’t make the same mistake I did. I had to cancel my stay due to illness in my household, and despite being a repeat Hyatt customer who has given them business multiple times a year, Hyatt Vacation Club refused to issue any refund or show any flexibility or compassion. This kind of rigid, profit-first policy with zero regard for real-life circumstances is unacceptable and speaks volumes about how they value their customers. There are countless other hospitality options that won’t treat you like this. Bottom line: If you value fairness, customer service, or basic decency — do not book with Hyatt Vacation Club. Save yourself the frustration and take your money to a company that respects its guests.

The staff was very friendly, gave recommendations on local places to see, bar deinks and food good, atmosphere great, great view, wild horses, iguanas, and other lizards, all rooms face ocean and overlook pool and private beach area, lots of lawgames if you're a outdoor gaming family. Do need a rental car if you wanna go out and see the island.

First time in Puerto Rico and we had the best experience here! The property is gated and while they are doing construction, it’s minimal disruption. The staff were top notch and very friendly. The beach and pool are right there, with activities throughout the day, so there’s something for everyone. Will definitely be back!

The Hyatt Vacation Club at Hacienda Del Mar was excellent! We stayed in a one bedroom villa which was very clean and had updated amenities, a view of the pool and the ocean, and an overall luxurious feel. We spent our evenings on the beach or in the pool/hot tub. We were able to conveniently text the front desk and received quick responses. We rented a car as the hotel is about 40 minutes away from SJU and were able to park in the hotel lot for free. A car is recommended for easy access to nearby restaurants and shops. We did not end up having a meal at Mahi Mahi restaurant on-site because we drove into Dorado for lunch and dinner. Aside from El Oasis across the street (recommend for good food, drinks, and live music), there aren’t any walkable restaurants (Expedia lists a few that may no longer exist). We had an amazing and relaxing stay at this hotel!
