We were assigned the Stelle Room. It had a noticeable perfume / fragrance smell. This gave me a headache for the first 2 days of our stay. By keeping the windows open constantly, I was able to air-out the room a little bit. Since there was no front desk, there was no way to request to be moved to a different room. This was the first time I've stayed in a hotel without a front desk .... that was my mistake, and I'll never do that again.
There were a couple of very nice housekeeping staff at the property, but they did not speak English. I was able to communicate the fragrance problem to them, and they found some towels for us that were not fragranced .... so they helped out about as much as they could. But why the whole room was fragranced in the first place is baffling. Maybe management instructs housekeeping to fragrance the rooms ... I have no idea.
However, if you're not sensitive to fragrances, this is a good place to stay, because everything else was terrific.
