I was put into an annex of the hotel. The entrance was thru the basement and although the hotel had an elevator, the annex did not. The first room looked into the public toilet area. The only other room they said they had was two flights up, but I took it. The T.V. did not work the first two days, the air condition would only blow cold air and took two days to fix, the furniture was hipped in several places, the faucets in the bathroom sink had only a bare dribble of hot water so had to use the shower faucet for hot water. When I checked out and called to have a porter for my luggage, no one answered so I carried it down two flights of stairs myself. This hotel is owned by the Monaco and Grand Canal, so I expected much better. I wonder if I received this treatment because I used a book service rather than booking direct with the hotel.
