it was a single night stay right before heading back to the airport. the front desk check in woman was very nice and helpful for all of our questions especially about getting to the airport in the morning. The bar tender was also very helpful and tried making the drinks the way we liked them. the next morning the man working the front desk was NOT helpful at all and tried to make me feel stupid when i asked to change our pick up time to the airport from 10 t0 10:30-- stating that he would have to make a phone call to change it and there isn't much difference between 10 and 1030. I agreed, but said i wanted to go at 1030! shouldn't have had to explain myself. a phone call was all it took. shame on him. as to the room, it was clean and simple but sparse. could have used another chair!

The Venice Times is pure elegance! It was a hotel that saved my experience at Venice. My wife and I were visiting for a few days, making our way through Italy on honeymoon and the hotel we originally booked looked nothing like their pictures. We arrived via train very late in the night and had no choice but to stay at what we refer to as the abandoned hostel until the morning. Once first light hit I got to searching for a way out and thankfully The Venice Times had an available room! Once we arrived, it felt like a complete 180! We showered and rested in their plush bed in a very quiet soundproof room that I can only describe as a spa compared to where we previously stayed! The hotel is beautiful and you won’t regret staying here! The fact that it is very close to the St Lucia train station and water bus stop that takes you all around Venice is only a plus.

Why wouldn't they let us have breakfast?
It was a nice room but overpriced for what it was. I was particularly annoyed by the fact that they would let us have breakfast despite this being something other customers had. I feel like an expensive 4 star hotel could offer a better reason than: "it's too expensive it's not worth it". I'm already spending a lot, let me have breakfast!

We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at The Venice Times for making our holiday and my husband’s 50th birthday truly memorable. From all the reception staff, the lovely ladies at breakfast and Danielo everyone went over and beyond to deliver an impeccable service!! The hotel is lovely clean and modern. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were comfortable in every manner and the staff were keen to help in any which way possible. The location was perfect. Literally minutes away from the hustle bustle down a quiet alley. At first it seemed we were far from San Marco however the walk was only about 30 mins which you didn’t notice as there was a lot of shops and eateries on the way!!! Breakfast at the hotel was nice. We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel for guests who appreciate modern interiors and amazing customer service and hospitality. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend Venice times ! The hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Location is a big positive being only 5 minutes from the train station and not having to worry about dragging our luggage through the streets of Venice. The one complaint is that the shower would leak water excessively. However, they gave plenty of towels to mitigate this issue.
