Well located, near to some restaurants and souvenirs shopping. Pools are great. We had an amazing view of the port from our room. We really disliked the service and the food at the restaurant “Condimento”. The ice machine worked maybe one out of the 4 nights we stayed. Overall the service is below average.

We have been staying at Hotel Emporio for many years, as it used to be a place we enjoyed returning to. Unfortunately, our experience has been getting worse each year, and this year was by far the most disappointing. First, the room we were given did not lock properly. We called reception five times to ask for maintenance, but no one came. As a result, we had to carry our luggage with us when leaving for a tour — something unacceptable in a hotel of this category. The dining experience was also very poor. I ordered an arrachera steak that had nothing to do with arrachera and was completely inedible. Coffee served both in the club lounge and in the restaurant tasted like a brown soup with no aroma or flavor of coffee. The wine list looks extensive, but in reality, from the many listed wines, only two were available. In addition, one of the rooms had a broken air conditioning system. Maintenance filled it with gas, which made it work for one day, only for it to fail again. All these issues together — poor service, lack of maintenance, bad food and beverage quality — made our stay extremely disappointing. It is sad to see how the hotel’s standards have declined year after year. We truly hope management takes these issues seriously, because as long-time loyal guests, we would like to see Hotel Emporio return to the level of quality it once had.

This hotel really disappointed me. The cleanliness was horrible. The bathroom had mold in the bathroom and on the toilet seat. The bathroom was clogged, so I had to remove the drain cover to let the water out. The cleaning ladies came to clean and didn't even go into the bathroom to remove hair. They were very friendly, but their work was disgusting. This hotel can't be considered a 4-star hotel. I stood outside my room for 40 minutes waiting for maintenance to open the door. My stay was truly a disaster.Luzia

The hotel is in the heart of the old city area, right in front of the main boulevard, the commodities are around it are fabulous, the restaurants, the colonialism architecture is fascinating. The room was fine, but the view from the corner window was breathtaking.

Parking is terrible, you have to park across the street on a designated area that is extremely busy when trying to cross walking. During the weekend it is impossible to find parking there and having to wait on parking. Room needed maintenance, there were holes in the shower walls. Customer service was good but just an inconvenience area and parking.

Las instalaciones en decadencia, tiempo exagerado para ser atendidos para check in y check out, cobran el estacionamiento a pesar de ser huéspedes, el personal no da un trato amable, no explican a los huéspedes sobre el uso de los elevadores e instalaciones del hotel, check in 2 hrs tarde que no reponen, camas rotas y sin lamparas de lectura, la limpieza de habitaciones es a las 9 am de lo contrario ya no lo realizarán, no reemplazan las botellas de agua ni las tazas ni vasos de la habitación termine por mejor comprara aguas y desechables en la tienda de enfrente.

Amazing view

The check-in process was smooth. The attentive desk clerk quickly checked us in. Our room category offered access to the 9th floor, where we could enjoy finger foods and beer or wine. However, the selection was limited, and the food was insufficient. Additionally, there weren’t enough staff to provide adequate service. Despite these shortcomings, the view was truly impressive.

We got a room with a view of the plaza. There was music and entertainment every night so it wasn’t quiet but I didn’t mind that. It’s conveniently located near the zocalo and the food at the restaurants was good!!

This property is located in an excellent location. The hotel rooms have excellent A/C. Please note that the month of July in Veracruz, Mexico is extremely humid! Please note that the handicapped ramps are very limited and there are many uneven sidewalks in Veracruz, Mexico. This city is definitely not for a disabled/handicapped person. A disabled/handicapped person will not be able to go on a boat tour to Cancuncito or another island due to no safe sidewalks to beach area. The waiters/waitresses in hotel do not check on their tables with frequency. It feels like you are forgotten after your order arrives. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I just hope that waiters/waitresses improve their attentiveness. Stay away from the Taproom (Cerveceria) at the main garden where the music is played at night!
