Proximity to the beach is the property’s saving grace: the curtains were filthy, the balcony needed to be swept, their was no bolt or chain on the door for security, and the key cards kept deactivating.

I had a great stay at The Royal Inn Beach Hotel Hutchinson Island! The location is perfect—just steps from the beach—and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was “beach clean,” meaning it wasn’t spotless like a high-end resort, but definitely clean enough and comfortable. It’s not a fancy hotel, but it’s far from a dump—more of a cozy, no-frills spot. The bed was incredibly comfortable (honestly, one of the best I’ve slept on), and the AC worked like a charm, which was a huge plus in the Florida heat. If you’re looking for a laid-back, convenient beach stay without all the bells and whistles, this is a solid choice. The friendly atmosphere and unbeatable location make it a place I’d definitely consider staying at again.

Doors were very noisy. There's a lot of beach refurbishing going on next door and across the street. Noisy trucks dumping sand on beach starting at dawn. Staff very uninformed about potential restaurants to have dinner. Easy to park and coffee provided in lobby.

The staff was amazing and friendly. Very willing to help. The apartment style accommodations were great on the inside. However, on our front door deck was large boxes with glass doors, both filthy like it had been there for a long time. So, we really couldn't sit out there. There were gas cans out front of the apartment and under the stairwell with was very concerning. The surrounding property was very unkept and trashy. There was a common area patio but filthy. Cornhole boards but no sand bags to throw. Although the staff was great, the management appeared to be totally unfazed about the trash all over the grounds. Although the area was nice with lots of areas to eat, drink, stroll through the park, and walk the jetty, I feel confident I wouldn't book this hotel again.

It was horrible the AC didn't work it was cooler outside even with a fan.. When I went to complain I was told I was because it was the Ocean side I'm not a Tourist I'm a local that have visited this hotel numerous times never had an issue like this I am very upset about it I was staying another night but not in these conditions!! Oh yeah I had to get up and go get a fan at midnight to try to get relief it didn't help no sleep to hot and to be disrespected by the employees is totally crazy as I told her I'm Local and I've stayed there bunches of time as much money as that hotel make the ac should never be an issue housekeeping should have let them know... But I'm sure whoever stayed in room 306 has already reported it no way anyone could sleep in there!!!

Overall the staff was amazing but the property was a little dirty in some aspects. We couldn’t use the pool (by choice) because the bottom of the pool felt slimy and had a film on it, the rooms were decent but the floors had sand all over them from previous guests. I do want to give a shout out to the amazing staff that were very accommodating and the lady at the front desk (I don’t remember her name but I remember she was from NY) who was welcoming and addressed all of my needs. I was informed that the hotel will be getting renovated and should be completed within a year so maybe I’ll give it another try but over all for the price the hotel was decent and in a good location.
