We loved verona! This property is in the san zemo neighborhood, a short walk and across the river from the busy center of verona. This hotel was lovely. Only 12 rooms that are more like mini suites. This is an historic building that used to be a monastery. Just around the corner from the hotel is a beautiful duomo and fantastic restaurants where we had excellent dinners all 3 nights of our stay. Definitely an area where there are more locals than tourists. Stay here if you want a beautiful spot.

It was a beautiful quiet spot and walkable to the shopping area and local interest spots. We enjoyed the little courtyard outside. Our room was like a little apartment and ample in size. The bathroom was sufficient, although the shower was small. Friendly staff. In general I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The room was large and charming. The bed was so comfortable. No elevator. Very quiet neighborhood. Nice restaurants nearby. 15-20 minute walk to the city center and arena. On Expedia, it is claimed there is laundry facilities available. That is one of the reasons I choose this hotel. There is not! Also, we watch a very little television when on vacation, but no English channels and no Wimbledon tennis. Very disappointing. A lot of Russian and Middle Eastern channels.

Good location, within 10 minutes walk in to the old town, safe and quiet with good food only around the corner, and a large supermarket - Conad, would recommend this hotel, but make sure all arrangements are made and understood at check in, as trying to find a member of staff during the day is impossible, and you need to call the emergency number for anything
