This hotel impresses by its location in a central yet green and laid-back location, with charming surroundings. The staff is very polite, kind and helpful.
The rooms are clean and stylish, beds are extremely clean and very comfortable. However it’s now time for some refurbishment to upgrade from a ca. 20-25 years old standard, especially when it comes to the bathroom.
The strongest improvement potential lies at the breakfast buffet. It’s a horror. Despite an amazing terrace (we visited in summer), it is not utilized, instead guests are seated in a boring room with poor ventilation. Choice of food is lousy, with the contrast to the elegant interiors so becoming even starker. Empty platters despite lots of (overworked?) staff running around. The coffee machine is the slowest I ever used. We eventually picked up some croissants plus coffee and walked out with our breakfast to the tiny terrace.
Parking is right in the front of the hotel, with easy access to the reception. It’s free of charge.
