avoid during COVID pandemic
I would have given my stay a perfect rating if it weren’t for the fact that at breakfast none of the workers were wearing masks (and it was a buffet). They didn’t care about our safety during this pandemic. Please avoid at the moment. Otherwise, very beautiful hotel.

Nice old style interior overall but needs refurbishment in the next years and the breakfast area takes away that 1900s feeling. Furniture looks more like a second class train interior. Breakfast (maybe due to covid19) was down to a minimum but at least scrambled eggs from real eggs would have been good.

Nice hotel - Wifi doesn’t work.
Everything is great apart from the wifi for which I was getting a download speed of 2mbps. On the first night I phoned reception and they said they would have a technician look at the wifi and that reception was better in the lobby. No one really wants to have to go to the lobby to use the Internet. However on the 2nd night the wifi was still bad. Looking at other reviews I can see other people have complained about the poor wifi so there is clearly no intention from the management to resolve this problem. This is a shame because everything else about the hotel is great - apart from maybe the breakfast which was very crowded

We were upgraded to delux rooms on arrival which was lovely. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. Incredible value for money, and such a perfect location.

Excellent location, good value for money.
I've stayed in the hotel for 5 nights at Christmas time. Pros: Very helpful polite and ready to assist staff. I had no trouble communicating in English. The location is excellent. The hotel has an underground station entrance literally next door. St. Stephan's Cathedral is within 15 minutes walk. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast had excellent variety, something for every taste. Cons: The room had no outside view. The window had frosted glass, when I opened it, there was an ugly brick wall of the neighboring building and a small inner yard. Not a big issue for me as I was returning to the hotel mostly to sleep and rest. Breakfast section can get very crowded. I had breakfast half an hour before they were stopping to serve it, and most tables were still occupied. I guess it's worse at peak hours, so take that into consideration. Overall - a very nice hotel, great location and friendly staff. I'd stay there again.

Most aspects of the hotel were fine though dated, but two things shouldn’t be part of a four star hotel 1. The tv was antiquated and too small for the room. The service provided was not cable resulting in only three English channels - all news or business. 2. For a hotel of this rating one shouldn’t hear conversations from neighbouring rooms - we could.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was fabulous. Easy walking to major sights. Breakfast was tasty. Good selection, although it would have been nice if it changed daily. The beds were very comfortable. The room was a little warm, and they don’t have air conditioning in the winter. They have a parking garage, but the charge of $40 euros a day was a bit high I thought. We would stay here again on our next visit.

I had a do not disturb sign on the door since I got in late from my flight and the staff knocked early morning to check if I wanted cleaning done! My whole nights sleep was disturbed. Never staying there again!

Hotel was well located within walking distance of the main city highlights. Decor was a bit dated and only decaf coffee available in the room, despite asking for real! Supplies were very limited. We were disappointed that there was no restaurant available for an evening meal but a great breakfast.

Well located with high standards
A very nice hotel which is well located on the edge of the city's ring road and close to a metro/tram station. We really liked our spacious maisonette room and the breakfast was also very good. The only slight negative is the limited space within the breakfast room which can make breakfast a little frantic. Overall a very good hotel in a great location.
