This fabulous end of row 2-bedroom villa has frontline Sea Views, Air Con, free Wi Fi and a Private Pool. Located 8 mins walk to the beach.

The attractive living area has a sea view and doors to a sunny patio with 4 sun beds to relax by the pool. The garden has a grassy lawn bordered with plants and has views of the coastal path.  The pretty Lounge has comfortable seating, a flat screen TV, free Wi Fi and doors to the pool area, while the dining table has 6 chairs. Well-equipped for holidays, the separate Kitchen, has all electrical appliances, cookware, crockery, pots & pans you'll need, and it has direct access to the pool patio with sun loungers, charcoal BBQ and a dining set for al fresco meals by the pool.

Also on this level, the main Bathroom has bath/shower and toilet.  Bedroom 2 has twin beds and fitted wardrobe.  Upstairs again, the Master Bedroom has a 5 ft bed, fitted wardrobe and en-suite bath/shower, bidet & toilet and doors to a super veranda with 2 chairs to enjoy the lovely sea views.
Please note:  With the two bedrooms on different floors, this villa may not suit a family with small children.
Villa 1 has full Air Con and a well-maintained pool and garden.  With everything in Burgau just a short walk, a car is not needed. If you have a car, there is free parking in front of the villa, and you can discover other beaches and villages and delight in the natural beauty of Costa Vicentina's Parque Naturel.
Located in the colourful former fishing village of Burgau at the edge of the Natural Parque, this fabulous self-catering villa has private swimming pool & garden, attractive interiors, contemporary bathrooms, air conditioning and heating and is a few minutes' walk from Burgau village & beach.

Burgau village has traditional houses, small shops & supermarkets, ATM, church, bars and lots of superb restaurants. Narrow sloped cobbled streets lead down to the gorgeous sandy Blue Flag beach which also has a very good beach bar. The village is full of character and has lots of excellent restaurants serving fresh fish and local produce. There are fabulous cliff/coastal walks and drives nearby.

Lagos the lovely regional capital is 10 mins. drive away. It has lots of shops, bars, nightlife, abundant historic buildings & churches, marina, wonderful markets and a zoo. It is a delight to wander through the cobbled/calcada streets within the ancient town walls soaking in the warm friendly atmosphere.

Boa Vista Golf, San Antonio Golf Resort and Espiche Golf Courses are within 8 km and there are many other courses within easy reach. Visiting golfers are welcome to all courses.

Burgau is great location for a family holiday.

There are fantastic beaches in abundance along the coast to the east and the west. The coastline to the west becomes increasingly rugged with huge towering cliffs, little protected coves and on the west coast the Atlantic rollers attract surfers all year round.

Great location for seeing Algarve region in March!
Clean and comfortable sleeping accommodations are the hallmarks we look for in reviews about places to stay.This property gets high marks on both accounts.Being that we were here in March, the pace was slow. The weather was cool and ever-changing - just right for winter dwellers looking for a reprieve from snow and cold at home.The Algarve region has amazing history, man-made and natural wonders, and it all can be reached easily by car.With breathtaking hikes right outside your door, a beautiful beach a few minutes walk away, and enough great restaurants offering eclectic dining experiences, Burgau is a small town we would stay in again.Needless to say, the people were wonderful. After all, it's Portugal! Maybe due to the off season, parking was always available close by, if not right in front of the property. Security never seemed an issue.The host provided a binder with much information regarding the property itself, Burgau, and the bigger city nearby, Lagos. There is a nice pool, too cool to use in March, but very clean, nonetheless.Overall, this was an excellent place to stay for our 10 day visit to this region for the first time. We ventured from Tavira, to Loule for Carnival, to the beaches, cliffs, and history of Sagres and Carrapateira, to the mountain town of Monchique. There is still so much more to see and do!This host and property deserve high marks for providing an excellent home base from which to see the best of the region.

Perfect Location for a stay in Burgau
We had a lovely time staying here whilst visiting Burgau. The property is in a great location and only a short walk to the centre of the village and the beach. Whilst it is an older property which, in time, would benefit from a spruce up, this certainly didn’t detract from our stay and we would love to visit again.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind!
We cannot recommend the property enough. It is in such a great location, offering privacy, peace and a great sense of security. It is a home away from home! It is close to so many great local shops, restaurants, bars and beaches, yet is only a short drive away from other scenic locations. We would love to visit and stay again!

Perfect place to stay!
This is a wonderful villa with stunning views and a beautiful pool and garden area. Location is ideal- you are about a five minute walk to local shops and beach. Check in was simple and accommodation, pool and garden were tended to during our stay. Couldn’t have had a nicer time and would absolutely love to go back! Pool club next door does have live music but it generally wrapped up around 9/10pm so didn’t disturb us.

Loved the villa and location would go later in the year next time as villa cold inside and pool freezing, we went in May would probably go June next time. Burgau beach the locals so lovely and welcoming, we ventured out to Praia de Luz where some of the staff on the beach bars were rude and we welcomed the return to Burgau, was small village but we kept finding hidden pubs and restaurants, would definitely come back. The AC was switched off and we did not need to use, but some sort of heating wold have been welcome.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A shade or thicker curtains in upstairs window would be helpful as the sun shined directly in our eyes on sunny days. It was a quite the alarm clock. We loved the quiet town of Burgau and that it was only a 10 minute drive to golf at Espiche and go into Lagos for boat tours.

So much potential,disappointing
It wouldn't take a huge amount of money to make this property a much sort after place to stay, the only thing that sells it, is it's position! No soul to it at all. The only house we've ever stayed in that had no home comforts or even a bottle of water in the fridge, which would have been much appreciated, especially after a delayed flight and no shops open. Twin bedroom smelt very musty. Only positive, master bedroom bed very comfy.

Wonderful stay in Burgau
Wonderful week spent in Burgau. Villa in a great position and exactly as described. Communication from start to finish was perfect and made everything very straightforward. Recommendations for restaurants and beaches also great which made a couple or rainy days in November a great adventure. Would recommend for families.

GOOD POINTS Fairly private, lovely outside area with pool, sun loungers and nice view. Large bedroom upstairs with nice balcony with decent view of both the sea and the hill in front. NOT SO GOOD. Several lights not working, ill fitting parasol, poor bbq, no spare bulbs or torch, despite being advised where they could be found. No first aid box despite being advised there was one. Basic furniture, some of which needs replacing or at least cleaning ( sofa) Lots of potential to be a lot better but functional nevertheless. Quite expensive, given the spec. Finally a small table on the upper balcony wouldn't go amiss.

Lovely Villa
A lovely villa in a great location. Within walking distance of the beach and bars/restaurants. The place was clean and the process was smooth as was getting in on arrival. The villa is equipped with everything you need including coffee machine, dishwasher and coffee machine. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return. Thank you.

Great House with Pool
Really enjoyed our stay in Burgau. The house was as described, each bedroom has it's own bathroom. As a couple we just used the master bedroom with a lovely large balcony overlooking the garden and pool. It also has a lovely view of the hillside and sea. Worth getting up for the sun rise. We were visiting for a family wedding so appreciated not having to travel with beach towels and hairdryer, both were provided. The house was well equipped for our needs. We were given clear instructions, directions, contact numbers and keycode before leaving UK. It's located a few minutes walk from the centre of Burgau, a small fishing village. We loved the garden and local bird life as it backs onto the hillside. The pool although cold was wonderful once in. We ate at the Beach Bar and a small restaurant Os Amigos, both excellent especially if you enjoy local fish or steak dishes. We definitely hope to stay again.

Not happy that we never had a cleaner In 2weeks and had to change my own beds friends staying for 1week elsewhere in the village had one but big no no is the noise from the bar next door and also I think I paid for a Housekeeper

The house is good and well located, and walking distance to the beach and village centre. The pool is nice and comfortable. Alcohol gel was available. House commodities and space are fine ( oven, heating plate, dishwasher and washing machine) Unfortunately Garage or easy parking was unavailable. The bed sheets , matress , bed covers and sofa smelled dusty, and so did the curtains: they do not see Cleaning for a long time... The house was very badly cleaned, (bathrooms were Ok though, but not the floors) and we had to clean again the floors, and kitchenware. As per the pandemia there is not claning service available BUT, because of this, there is an string reason why cleaning after somebody leaving must be done much more thoroughly... If the owners pay for this service, it is quite bad. The kitchenware is scarce, but just enough... (The frying pan is in bad shape) Salt not available, nor olive oil. We are used to have a reception basket with wine and some essentials in some other houses or apartments we booked. The TV can be improved (tiny screen), and Internet speed weak. Two important notes: I was surprised not to be contacted by the Villa Manager. They did not care if we were there or not. There is a major security breach, to be immediately improved , as the garden door is always opened and anybody from outside can access all houses. If you have children you will not like that at all. (We did that ourselves, the the day before leaving, with quite a surprise for me) It is quite awkward not to be contacted by manager to tell us when garden and pool cleaning is done, and identify the people. It is quite a pitty not to have an extra bed for one day eventual visitors.

The property is in an ideal location, being the corner plot, slightly larger than the others and benefitting from both sea and landscape views. Villa and pool were cleaned as advertised, spotless. Perfect location
Enjoyed our stay, location was great, Burgau is a beautiful little village with lovely bars and restaurants, we did the coastal walk to Salema which is beautiful and did a road trip up the west coast and stopped off at a few beaches that was very popular with surfers. The villa was comfortable we didn’t have any need to contact the property manager as the instructions left was very clear. Only thing I would say is I would have expected the cleaner to come sooner in the week, we arrived Sunday we didn’t have a cleaner until the following Friday I would have also expected little things like toilet paper, salt pepper etc along with a few basic necessities to be provided but that didn’t stop us having a wonderful time in a comfortable villa.

Overall good. It would have been a nice gesture if there had been a welcome pack in the kitchen. After a long journey it’s nice to be able to have a hot drink before unpacking. The kitchen cupboards didn’t even have salt and pepper so be prepared to have to buy literally everything. Basic crockery was provided, but only minimal amounts so dishwasher was going on twice a day. Ground floor bedroom only had five hangers and these were of the metal type which were bent out of shape. The single beds had blankets which we removed as they had quite a lot of hair in them and smelt a little musty. However, don’t be put off by the above as these niggles can be easily rectified. Overall, the house is good and having a pool, even better.

Great family property within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants
Located about 4 minutes from the nearest shop and 8 minutes from the beach, this is a great family property. Part of a complex of 40+ relatively new properties this 2 bed house has plenty of room for a family of 4. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance although booking ahead is essential for most of them in the Summer holidays. We particularly liked Ancora, Casa Padaria, Esquina, Bombordo and El Navegador. There’s a small grocery shop about 4 minutes walk away but it’s worth going a bit further to the small supermarket next to the church as there’s more choice. There are a couple of big hills to navigate to get to and from the beach and several of the restaurants - that would be the case pretty much wherever you stayed in Burgau. The hills were no problem at all for our children (age 8 and 11) but it would be more challenging with a pram or for anyone with limited mobility. Gary the TukTuk man will do short trips and is a regular face around the village. You can find his details and lots of other useful information on the Facebook group “BURGAU-INFO-NEWS-CHAT” We loved Burgau, it’s got a really friendly feel to it and almost everyone we met there on holiday was a repeat visitor.

Our week in Burgau.
The villa is in the perfect location, 2 minutes walk from the village. There are many restaurants and it has a good bus service. In our opinion the villa was functional and reasonably well equipped, but unfortunately it lacked any charm or character and certainly didn’t feel “homeaway “. The bathtowels were thin and worn, the sun umbrella didn’t fit in the base and the air conditioning didn’t function well. We love Portugal and will certainly return again one day.

Haus mit Potential
Leider muffelig und ungepflegt. Defekte Ausstattung, Gebrauchsgegenstände in der Küche alt und schmutzig. Alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Der Platz und das Haus selbst sehr schön. Bitte Mückengitter anbringen, da direkt nebenan ein Teich ist.
