Very good

Good location for the view, away from the noisy center. A good uphill walk keeps you in shape, about ten minutes from most of the points of interest.
Nicely decorated lobby area, beautiful pool and nice restaurant, plus charming breakfast area with a decent selection of food. Helpful staff.
Hallway to rooms with dim lights. Rooms were basic in decor, but clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced.
Just outside the wall of the old city, the location gets you close access but with the lovely bonus of parking. A short but steep uphill climb will get you into the city center. Make sure to bring good walking shoes. The staff was helpful and friendly, even more so if you spoke Italian. The guest room was a good size and our room had a lovely view of the pool with the valley beyond. The bed was acceptable but the pillows were hard. Everything seemed clean and the bathroom was quite adequate. Breakfast was included and the buffet was replenished as required. The major problem was with the poor quality internet service that we were charged for and that required luck to access. Overall the location and availability of parking made this hotel an excellent choice.
Excellent location for visiting Volterra as it is situated just outside the city wall. However wifi is extra over, it should have been bundled into the total price!
The front desk staff of this family run establishment is not the most attentive and helpful that I have run into in Italy, but the restaurant food and staff make up for it. The property is rustic but beautiful, the setting is ideal, the vista from the hotel property are magnificent. If you are in the Tuscan country side in vicinity of Volterra you should seriously consider staying a couple of nights at the Albergo Villa Nencini while you explore the local areas vineyards and historic sites.
This is a wonderful family-run hotel. It is charming, comfortable, and in a terrific location. The restaurant is also excellent. The staff accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed 3 nights and were very comfortable. The pool is beautiful. Our room was very nice for this type of charming, Italian stay.
What a lovely little hotel!
This place has lots of typical features, rustic charm and a great pool. The breakfast is served in the cellar which is a beautiful room. The view over the surrounding hills, if facing the pool, is spectacular and the walk up to the main gate into town takes very little time but is uphill.
Would return if visiting the town again.

Good little hotel
A great little hotel for the money. Pool & garden perfect. Breakfast OK did not try restaurant as many others around. something of an uphill trek to the town which might not suit everyone
Stayed in this hotel for 1 night passing through to the coast. The hotel is just at the bottom of a steep road 5 minutes from the city walls and s easy to find. The room had no aircon and is dated, with poor bathroom amenities, but had a nice view over the pool and countryside. Breakfast is the normal continental type with machine coffee. Not sure if I would enjoy spending any longer than 1 night, although the pool is large and clean.
