Venture further afield and see what's going on in Paternoster, 12 kilometres to the northwest. Lots of travellers come here for Cape Columbine Lighthouse and Cape Columbine Nature Reserve. Alternatively, Saldanha is 13 kilometres to the southwest of Vredenburg. Stop at this locality for easy access to the Saldanha Golf Course and Saldanha Harbour.

Both tourists and locals often make the trip to Riebeeck West. This destination is 95 kilometres to the southeast and pretty close to the Allesverloren Estate, Kastelbeerg and Riebeeck West Playfield. If you're planning to stay a little while, remember to swing by the Pulpit Rock Winery and the Riebeek Cellars Wine Shop.

To really experience a destination is to sample its food and drink, so get set to nibble, gnaw, slurp and sip your way around Western Cape. The only thing you need to take with you is a good appetite!
