Allawah, built in 1911, is the old Methodist Church in the small village of Wallendbeen. Reinvented as a place for you and a close friend to relax, Allawah has everything you need for a weekend or a week. Just add the champagne!
Some simple breakfast items are provided but bring with you a hamper to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen. Alternatively, it is a 15 min drive to nearby towns of Cootamundra, Harden and Young all have supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and pub meals.
If you feel like getting out and about, Allawah is a short drive to the Hilltops wine region, or if you are a cricket tragic, visit Cootamundra, Bradman's birthplace. In summer you can indulge in the cherries and peaches at Young. Travel a little further afield and find the Air Museum at Temora, or Junee with its Roundhouse and Railway Museum, to be followed by a visit to the Licorice Factory.
Detour on the way back to discover the architectural and historical surprises of surrounding villages like Galong, Wombat or Stockinbingal. Of course, if you can't drum up the energy for any of this, you may manage the short walk to the pub to meet the locals. Nearby to Harden, Cootamundra, Young, and Temora
