Fabulous stay
We stayed for 4 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect as we wanted peace and quiet after a very busy 6 weeks. We also explored the area , and had no idea of how historical Ward was. Ward beach is a great beach for fossicking and the rock formations and boulders are amazing. Also close by is Marfells beach, a lovely sandy beach. The local Cafe was awesome, homemade food, great coffee and service. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you could want. Very quaint and fabulous views. Our hosts Trudi & Duncan were very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this property

Sunrise haven
Our family enjoyed the beautiful surroundings in which the farm cottage is located. The sunrises were magnificent and the night skies were packed with bright stars - so good for spotting constellations with the children! Although it's located on a working farm it's still very much private and Duncan and Trudi even made some time to show us the farm animals, we appreciated it deeply. The cottage is an older farm house and that is something to keep in mind, but the towels and all the linen was very clean and everything was functioning well. They also had some books, toys, and board games ready for us to use. I would definitely recommend this property, especially to families with small/young children. A diamond in the rough. :)

Authentic Farm Cottage
This is an authentic country farm cottage, beautiful stars at night & no noisy neighbours. The place is large & was perfect for our group of family & friends. Beds and linen were excellent. Might be chilly in the winter although there is plenty of wood for the fire. Trudi & Duncan are lovely helpful people, communication was excellent & we really enjoyed the farm tour. Happy to book again.

Short hop to ferry
Good farm cottage that worked well for us to break up the trip North and lessen the complaints from the kids. :) Coffee while we charged the car in Christchurch, dinner in Kaikoura, then on to Ward. It meant we could meet friends for a relaxed brunch in Blenheim the next morning before catching the 2pm ferry. Clean cottage, comfortable beds, easy access on arrival, cheap and cheerful. Thanks Trudi!

Great stay in farm lifestyle
Good location, only 5 minutes away from Ward. The house is a charming old farm. Beds are very comfortable. Trudy and Duncan are very good hosts, we had eggs from the chicks and Duncan gave us a tour of the property, explaining lots about farming in the area.

Great stop off location
We stayed 1 night, it was a great stop off location between Christchurch and the Sounds. Very quiet, old farm workers house, so not modern, but a large house which was great for the kids with everything you would need. Communication from the owners was great and a nice welcome when we arrived.
