Great location. Staff friendly and very helpful. Accessible room with roll in shower is not fully accessible. No seat in shower. The door into the room does not open all the way and the bed is too close to the opening and too close to the bathroom. Makes this difficult to maneuver the wheelchair. Our wheelchair has 360 degree turn. There is a threshold to get into the room that was not easy for the wheelchair. Since this is an old hotel, they have done the best they can to make it accessible. Giving this review for those with accessibility needs to be aware.

This hotel is in a great location - perfect for the meetings and events I came to attend on Capitol Hill. Also they were gracious and efficient holding my luggage until my departure. But these are the only good things. The staff was fair to terrible starting with the rude doorman (also the valet.) The lobby is very small. The breakfast room became a 'nightclub' for locals at night. That's the entire first floor. The rooms are renovated and are quite clean - but they are small and poorly organized. I had a suite, but the bedroom is so small that my suitcase had to be left in the living room. The bathroom is barely big enough to turn around in.
