I was a little iffy on making the reservation and a bit nervous given some reviews. However, looking back on it, it was honestly a great experience. Perfect distance from Union Station (yes, you can hear the trains slightly at night but not nearly as bad as some would think). Grocery store right up the street, and the provided kitchen in the room was nice. Bed was a bit more firm than expected, but that's more a preference thing. I think the only real headache was figuring out the code system, namely as some other users have listed using the Latch app while others mentioned the keypad system. It's a bit more forgiving in terms of time than some make it seem, and easy to understand once you got the hang of it. Just a bit of a curve to get used to.

The size of the apartment was great. That said, the mattress was beyond tired, trains were loud and access to the building was random. Sometime my code worked and other times it didn't. And don't expect any amenities, like coffee.

Great location but mediocre stay
The housekeeping and maintenance team are lovely. It was great to have a washer and dryer in the apartment. However, the apartment was not great. The bed visibly sagged. People left trash in the hallways, and someone had a dog that barked all night long. I spoke with the front desk about it, and the woman informed me that they didn't have anything to do with the company I was renting from, so I was out of luck.

I was first Instructed to check into a room on the first floor. The bed was unmade and broken and there was dirty linen in the closet. Someone entered the room without knocking while I was undressed and I was completely uncomfortable. I was then told I would need to change room because of The broken items but all of This Was Clearly communicated with the staff in the building or myself.

Communication with staff and clarity of service is not good. I said 3 people were going to stay and they did not make sure that the sofa bed was working properly. Checking process is difficult and has too many instructions not really convenient and helpful.

Everything was perfect except the trains noises. Not enough that every few minutes you hear the trains they also honked at any time of the day. Honking was worse than the chag a chag.

Global Luxury Suites at Capital Hill should communicate clearly the payment plan in the contract agreement. They should not simply cancel the reservation without working the customer on the weekend to ensure that the payment is processed. They simply did not work on the weekend and simply canceled my reservation. Global Luxury Suites should reimburse me for all the the stay because of the inconvenience that they cause me and my family.

The room could've been a little more cleaner. There is/was hair all over the couch and looked as if no one swept or mopped the floors. There's hairs all over the floor. It's a mix of long hair and looks like beard hairs, its mainly on the baseboards and corners. I went to get a shower and turned the thingy to start the shower and there's not much water pressure because a ton of water comes out from the spigot when shower is on. It'd be nice if there's a map or something in the welcome package so folks like myself can know what's around here to do, eat, shop and how to get to places by foot.

Great location
I had a mixed experience. I appreciated having an efficiency versus a hotel room. However, this is not a hotel, so don't expect that kind of service. I emailed and telephoned several times, trying to extend my stay without ever getting a response. The bathroom was nice enough, the bed was terrific, and the internet connectivity was really good. However, the TV didn't work, and it was 78 - 81 degrees in the room until they fixed the AC.

verything was excellent, the only inconvenient thing is the system to unlock the elevator and the apartment door, which is very complex and sometimes it did not accept the code.
